How to Get Married In Epcot... and Survive a 12-Day Honeymoon @ WDW!

The end???
What do you mean "the end"???
What are we supposed to read then in the coming months??????????,
:faint:

BTW, in September, you could wear those hats once again... free dining + free dessert... a honeymoon can ben taken till one year after the wedding... just saying... :rolleyes1

Fantastic TR! Love all the creative photos.

I also had a morning wedding with brunch food at the reception. It had nothing to do with Disney though. We will celebrate our 18th anniversary this fall.

I would do the MK photo shoot again but not wearing the wedding outfits. Those photos were shockingly bad.

Oh it's so sad to hear the end of your report, as others have said what will we have to read :confused3

It's a shame your plan to do both ToT's didn't work out but at least you'll be able to plan it for Sept :cool1:

Hope this link works for our report on GF 2005 - it's a bit of a long one ;)

I'm just glad we also got to try the Beach Club as we totally loved it there.
Still want to stay at the Poly though, but with DVC it's quite an expensive use of points :(

So now I'm counting down until your Sept trip.....:rolleyes1

I just finished your TR. Your wedding was so beautiful!! Morocco is my favorite place in Epcot.

I love weddings and got a little teary when your DH saw you for the first time in your dress....(I'm such a sap).

A lurker coming out of hiding here.......

I've seen some of your posts on the food porn thread and followed your TR here. What a great report! Your pictures are wonderful and different and your comments are hilarious!

You've inspired me to be open to marriage again - if only for the chance to have a wedding in Epcot like you did!:lmao: And if I don't find someone worthy of me (:snooty:), then I'll be planning that Disney wedding for my 12yr. DD someday - which I'm sure she'll be fine with....she loves WDW as much as I do!

Wow! I can't believe my TR inspired you to be more open to marriage! :cutie: Like I always say, if you can't find a groom, have a quinceanera at Disney! They also do same-sex comitment ceremonies through DFTW - they don't have to know that you and whichever long-suffering friend you rope into it aren't actually a couple :rotfl:

What a great trip report! It sounds like you had a truly magical honeymoon.

Thanks! :)

Ahh see American has a flight that leaves MCO at 1:30 and arrives in LA at 3:30... then you could totally have enough time. We had an extra day on our MYW tickets so we went to DCA the day after we got home

Ooh good tip - I'd better start saving my pennies so I can afford the new bag-check fee, though! :rotfl:

Thanks for the great trip report! I'm excited you decided to do a TR on your September trip. I can't wait! :thumbsup2

Yeah, I'm starting to get excited about it too! Knowing I was going to write a report got me to take a lot more pix on our honeymoon than I think we otherwise would have...

I have really enjoyed every bit of your TR! As I am about to celebrate my 13th anniversary allow me one bit of advice. Continue to consider each others needs and feelings, as you obviously did on this trip, and you will truly happy always.

Make sure you start a pre-trippie soon!

Thank you for the advice - it is very sound! :goodvibes Also, maybe you can fill me in on how a pre-trippie works and I'll look into it. Do you just write about what you're planning?

I'm so sad it's over and I'm sure you are too.

:( Yes, but now I'm all fired up to write about our September trip!

MOre, more, more! I will think of you each time I go past Morocco. Great report!

:cloud9: That's cute! I'll let you know if I figure out how to do a pre-trip report....

The end???
What do you mean "the end"???

:faint:

Pre-trip report! ...I think! Also, thanks for the tips... I'm actually thinking about making a "Disney Bride" T-shirt, since technically I will always be a Disney bride... just not a young, fresh-faced one! :lmao:

Congrats on 18 years! Also, can I quote you on the pictures? :cutie: Disney still doesn't understand why we didn't like them

Aw, that's really sweet! And you're not a sap - I always tear up at wedding pictures!

Lurkyloo, are you ignoring your fans now???????
:)

Here I am!!! :wave2: I didn't write yesterday 'cuz we were at Walt Disney's Barn at Griffith Park meeting former Disney Imagineers! The barn was Walt's workshop at his Holmby Hills house when he had his backyard railroad, and they moved it to a public park when the house sold so all could enjoy it. They open it every third Sunday, and you can have free train rides on similar 1/8th scale trains that run around the barn. SO much fun!

Thanks for the link to the report - now I have something to do during my downtime at work! :)

I'll let you know what I think of the Poly in Sept. I may get flamed for this, but right now I think it may be a bit overrated... at least in the room decor department. If the rooms were as gorgeous as the lobby, that'd be a different story! :rotfl:

Totally subbing... I am almost finished with the wedding day. What a perfect day... congratulations.

I am all caught up! I've had your report open for like a week now, reading it in bits and pieces when I get a chance!

I got all excited that you held your meet n greet thing in the drawing room! It is my favorite place to go hang out when I have time off! I'm in there with a book and a notebook allll the time! In fact, I was there the night of Superbowl Sunday, which I think was the day you were there! Crazyness! (I remember because we were wandering the Boardwalk area that night, and paused in the Yacht Club's bar long enough to see who was playing at halftime, and ended up at the BC!)

Your MK early morning photo experience makes me sad!! I could have done better on my little point n shoot camera! (But then, I do have mad skillz! :D) You would think that in order to get a gig doing wedding photos, you'd at least have to have some basic rules of photography down! Let me know when you're here for your anniversary, and I'll follow you around taking anniversary pics for free! ;)

I'll have to try that peanut butter chocolate cake at the Land! I thought I had all of the important Disney desserts mastered, but I didn't know about that one!!

There's just something wrong about all your cute duck pictures being followed by a big ol' plate of duck! :)

Hi Lurkyloo-
If you go to the trip report forum and look at the top you will see a sub-forum for pre-trip reports. Most people post about all their planning ie: ADR decisions, special things to do etc. It is not as boring as it sounds- go check it out! Many people then continue it on as a full fledge trip report when they return!

Oooh - thanks for the tip! I'll check it out...

Hi!!!! :wave2: Everyone, this is WDW Poly Princess, the one who inspired me to write a honeymoon trip report and steered me toward all those great desserts! I've passed many an hour poring over her trippies, and I suggest we all go look them up right now! :rotfl:

Crystal, I totally wish you could have done our MK shoot, and look out - I may take you up on the offer to follow us around with a camera in September. I loved the Solarium too - I think I first heard about it in one of your reports. I was bummed we couldn't hold our meet 'n' greet there, but I plan to spend time reading there when we return to BCV for our anniversary.

Oh, and let me know how you like the peanut butter chocolate cake at the Land!

Totally subbing... I am almost finished with the wedding day. What a perfect day... congratulations.

Thanks! May this trippie provide you hours of online time-wasting... :lmao:

Sure! I just have to start it first! :rotfl:

I'll go read through some to get a feel for how they work...

This trip report is absolutely fabulous. I am reading at work and these dreadfully slow computers will not download the pictures. I have not seen one picture yet, but I can imagine the whole thing in my mind. I can't wait to get home and read more and finally see the pictures everyone is raving about. What an absolutely fabulous way to capture the memories of your wedding and honeymoon. In 2009 my DH and I will celebrate our 20th and it makes me want to plan a special Disney trip just for that. :lovestruc

Yeah! So glad you decided to do another! Loved this one -- so you have alot to live up to, missy!

:scared: How am I gonna top a wedding?! I mean, on TV shows, a wedding is the ultimate audience-grab, except for maybe a baby.... :scared1:

:cloud9: Thanks so much for your kind words! I totally think you should plan a special Disney trip for your anniversary - it's a wonderful and romantic place to celebrate. Plus, if you pick up the Anniversary pins from Guest Services or your hotel, you'll get lots of well wishes and surprises! :thumbsup2

Lurklyloo-

I just got home and am sitting outside in the fading sun looking at your beautiful pictures. It was hard reading your whole, entire trip report without one visual. (Yeah - I had a really slow day at work) You are absolutely gorgeous (and your DH is pretty cute, too). Since I just starting looking at your pictures, I have a lot of catching up to do. Anyway, fabulous report!

I am definately thinking about celebrating an anniversary there. I do have a short trip planned with just DH and myself this December and we have a few things planned that we wouldn't do with the kids (like Cali Grill and MVMCP - our kids our teens and don't care too much about MVMCP). But now I think I want CRT with the fireworks! We are staying on points for 3 nights, but maybe we should "do it up" and book conceirge somewhere for our first night! :goodvibes
