How to get in to Club 33?

There have been several posts about Club 33 and I am curious how non-member get to eat there? Do you have to be invited by a member? Can you just make a reservation by paying a higher, non-member rate? If you are invited do you just pay for your own meal?

I would love to eat there once just to say I did

From what I've gathered the only way a non-member can go is if a member invites them. And I think you pay for your meal, just as in a restaurant. Not sure but from reviews that's what i gathered.

You either have to know someone who has a member pass, or you have to have one yourself. And to get one you have to have CASH!!! and LOTS OF IT!!! Like a membership would cost more then a down payment on a car. Its crazy.

Expensive, yes, like joining a country club, no. The initial buy-in to an equity membership at most country clubs will generally run you approx. $50-150K.
Additionally, you will have quite a wait as I read yesterday a quote from the club put the current membership waitlist at 8-10 years. This past year not one new membership was awarded as they had a renewal rate of 100%. I have been on the list for two years now and have qute a wait ahead.

Its a private club not many people know about, and good luck finding it. Its hidden in Disneyland in a place thousands and thousands of people walk past daily, and yet not see.

Its also a status thing. It makes you feel superior I guess.

I won't pay that much for it. But, it would be cool to see what all the hype is about.

The only way i would get a membership is if I marry rich, or win the lotto! It would be fun to see what the hype is about. But I hightly doubt that either of those will happen.

Because it does have such a limited membership and is difficult to attain entry it makes for a great place to entertain clients and associates. The cost of your yearly dues does include admission for the member and his or her spouse, thereby shaving $800.00 off of the cost to start. the remaining balance of the dues is easily justified if you entertain clients with even intermitent occurances. The cost of entertaining is high already and given the mystic of the experience I see it as a value and not ridiculous in the least. Obviously enough people must agree because those that are currently members don't give up their memberships very often, and many people constitute the 8-10 years of waiting. I see your point if you were looking at it from a perspective of a personal investment, but from a business view it can be very useful.

I would assume Coke and Fedex for sure.

Well now that makes sense...if it's for business. My DH owns his own software business so I can see it from that point too, if we lived close to DL. (maybe someday! ) Other than for a business investment, I still can't see the point.

My husband's small company has a membership. We have been about 6 or 7 times. It really is a treat! An expensive one but well worth it. I would just ask your friends and family members if they know anyone with a membership. Sometimes, my DH will send clients there as a thank you for their business. Sometimes, he just gets them in and they pay at the table for their meal.

As far as finding it, I never would have if I hadn't been with people who knew where it was. It is RIGHT next door to The Blue Bayou.

Shoot, if I gave up my Starbucks habit, the annual dues would be pocket change! I don't think it is a feeling of being "superior" over others people are after. (that comment made me cringe )...you are paying to be a part of Disney history, really, with some nice benefits like free park entry on the day of your reservation. People are facinated with it because it is so private and so exclusive. And to each their own how they want to spend their money.....it is not riduculous if you have it to spend!
