How to Get from resort to resort for ADRs?

We are staying at CBR and have several ADRs at resorts (chef mickey's, o'hana, etc.). Do the buses go from resort to resort, or do we have to take a bus to the park, then take a separate bus (or monorail) to the resort at which the ADR is located?

That seems like such a pain and a lot of traveling! Please tell me what the easiest way is to do it. :)

Thanks!
Heather

For those two, I would take a bus to the Magic Kingdom and then the monorail to the Contemporary or the Polynesian. It's nice, like making a grand entrance for your breakfast.

There are no buses between resorts except for the resorts that share 1 bus.

Buses do not run from resort to resort. For CM & Ohana follow TillyMarigold's advice. Just an FYI: for early morning character breakfasts sometimes the bus driver will take you directly to your resort destination instead of dropping you off at the park, but there is no guarantee of this & basically boils down to pure luck.

Here's what we do to reduce the feeling of too much travel time: We plan out our park schedule in advance, and then make resort ADRs on the days we plan to be at a nearby park. If we were already at a nearby park before and/or after the meal, it seems like much less travel time.

So for Chef Mickey's or Ohana, we would make an ADR on a day that we already planned to be at MK. We just monorail to Poly from MK for Ohana. And we walk from MK to Contemporary for Chef Mickey's. After eating, we return to MK and stay there longer, or head back to the resort from MK.

We take taxis when going to other resorts for meals. The only time we don't is when the resort is on the monorail and we are staying at the Poly.

Actually, for CM take the bus to the MK. The walking distance from there to the Contemporary is about the same as the distance to the MK entrance.

If we are going to the Poly or Grand Floridian we will take the boat over from the Magic Kingdom and then monorail back after meal

We plan ADRs around where we'll be that day, the Wave on our MK day, Boma on AK day, so we're already close, saving travel times

Agree, agree, agree w/ walking to Chef Mickey's from MK.

We had b-fast @ beach club. We stayed @ POR. Took taxi to breakfast and then rode boat to Hollywood Studios...

It is a pain in the rear getting between resorts sometimes. We decided to spend the $15 (2 times) to get us to an ADR. From the meals, we would then hop on that resort's transportation to get to the park...

Good Luck and have fun!

We have always taken the bus to MK and hopped on the monorail to Contemporary or Poly. We always have to start out so early to get there in time. When I was on the phone the other day making ADR's the cast member said Disney is recommending allowing 1 1/2 hours for travel.

From what I just read from the other people posting, I'll sleep a little later next time and grab a cab. The extra $15. won't make that much of a difference in the overall cost of my Disney vacation and it will keep me from being worried about being late.

Kathy:)

We always rent a vehicle-basically for 2 reasons:
1. To be able to go off property to see the "Real Florida" (and go shopping) and
2. To travel to other resorts easily.

We stop on the way to our resort to pick up water, soda, snacks, and breakfast items. Saves us quite a bit of money.

For example, to get from POP to Kona (or 'Ohana) we can make it in about 15 minutes. If we didn't have a rental car I would take a taxi there. Then DT back.
