how to get from Contemporary to wilderness lodge?

Can someone give me directions from the Contemporary to wilderness Lodge (Whispering Canyon). We dont care to take the bus and would like to drive.

Coming out of the CR parking, turn left onto World Drive. At the first traffic light you get to (about 1 mile from the CR), turn left onto the entrance road to the WL.

How do you feel about boats?? There is a boat that runs between CR, WL and FW. Before 3pm the route is CR, FW, WL, CR, after 3pm the route reverses CR, WL, FW, CR.

Before 3pm, you will go via Ft Wilderness, so you will have two long legs, plus docking and unloading twice. Probably around 25 minutes, plus however long you have to wait for the boat to arrive.

After three, you only have the one short leg straight to WL - probably more like 7-8 minutes, counting the time to dock and unload.

It's an enjoyable ride, with some great views. You should get a nice view of the new BLT when pulling out from the CR dock.

Driving will get you there in less then 5 minutes, plus it's very easy going down World Drive and turning left at Timberline Drive.

The boat ride is very short across Bay Lake to WL........it's a very nice, relaxing ride.......probably about 10-12 minutes total. Very nice in early evening......as long as the weather is good.......not fun in the rain!!
