How to get from boat from mk to mickey's backyard bbq at fw

Explain the route to get from Mk boat to Mickey's backyard bbq at Fort Wilderness please. Need to also know where this dock is in MK. And once off boat at fort wilderness do I need to take an internal bus or will it be within walking distance? Also how much time to allow if last ride is at splash mountain at about 4:00. And reservation is 6:15. tia!

The docks at the MK are basically straight ahead as you exit the park (versus going to the right for the monorail or to the left for the busses). When you get to Ft. Wilderness, walk straight up from the boat dock, and take a right just past the playground that will be on your right, before the tavern. Follow the path and it will lead you over to the pavilion where the BBQ is held. I would leave MK around 5:00 - you may catch a boat right away & be there early, or you may have a wait for a boat. If you get there early, the Fort is a nice place to relax - when we have gotten there early for Hoop-Dee-Doo, I've relaxed with a drink while letting the kids play on the playground.

Its really easy. Just come out the of the MK and look for the FW boat dock, which is pretty much centered between the monorail station and the ferry docks. When the boat gets to FW, a CM can direct you to the BBQ, which is very close.

I tried mapping the walk in Google Maps, it looks like from the docks to the Hoop-Dee-Doo is 1.2 miles (24 minutes). The link below shows the walk (unless I've got the wrong dock?)

You are using Wilderness Lodge, not Fort Wilderness. These are neighboring resorts, but are different resorts. The dock for FW is just above HDDR.

The walk from the FtW dock, up to HDDR, is about 4 mins!
