How to get from Animal Kingdom to Magic Kingdom?

DH thinks he remembers seeing buses that go directly from park to park. I don't remember seeing anything like that, but I figured this would be the place to ask!

Do we have to go from AK to the TTC to MK? If so, how long would that take??

There ARE busses that go direct from park to park, with the exception of the MK. If you are travelling to MK from another park, you'll have to bus to the TTC, and then monorail or ferryboat to the MK.

Busses from resorts to MK do go directly to the park, no TTC stop required.

You might want to do this by taking a bus to AKL and transfering to a MK bus there.

Another way to do this is to take a bus from the AK to any of the monorail resorts....Poly, GF, or Contemporary. From any of these you can just take the monorail over to the MK. If you go to the Contemporary you have the option of walking to the MK....ten minutes tops.

These guys are right on. We just hop on the next bus leaving to any resort and then transfer to a bus on to our next park.

Are the bus stops for the three monorail resorts anywhere near one another? I can just see us standing at one stop then running to another!

Good question....after thinking about it I THINK that these monorail resorts likely share the bus service. Sort of like the Epcot resorts where (in June anyway) the Boardwalk shared with the Swan and Dolphin while the Beach and Yacht clubs shared a bus. I'm sure someone will know for sure, but my guess is that the Poly, Contemporary and Grand Floridan are probably on one route so there would be only one bus stop for them. Check the signs when you get to the AK.
