Hi,
I need to know the best way to get from All Star Movies to Dolphin by 8 am to pick up a car rental.

If a cab is the best way, does any one know how much it will cost and how do I get a cab?

Also any ideas on how to get from Animal Kingdom to Downtown Disney using Disney transportation?

Thanks so much.

The only way I know of for you to get to the Dolphin by 8 a.m. on Disney transportation is if MGM has morning Extra Magic Hour (Saturdays now). Then you would take the bus to MGM and walk or take the boat to the Dolphin. Otherwise, take a cab. Sorry - I don't know the cost.

If MGM is NOT having morning EMH, wait at the bus stop (at ASMo) for the MGM bus. Tell the driver you need to get to the BC for the Cape May breakfast. He will drop you off there. You could then walk to the Dolphin.

A taxi would be easier. It would cost approx $15.

From AK to DTD - take the bus to AKL, CSR, CBR, POP or OKW. Then take the DTD from there.

An easier way would be to rent from the CCC (Car Care Center). I actually got the best deal from them last year - even better than the airport! Once you have your reservation, you just call them and they will send a complimentary shuttle to pick you up at your resort. Much easier, and cheaper than trying to find you way to the Dolphin that early.

You're saying that an MGM bus driver that picks up at ASMovies would drop off a passenger at the Beach Club for breakfast? Hmmm...

Yes but only early in the morning. Once the busses go into regular schedule (approx 8AM for a 9AM MGM opening), they won't be able to drop the guest off.

The post below is from this thread by Tyler a couple of years ago. It is old but still valid.

We recommend being out at the bus stop 45 minutes prior to your priority seating time. This will allow ample time in case you just missed the bus, or if you need to make any connections. Remember to always let the driver know what breakfast you are going to. Chances are, it won't take the full 45 minutes, and you'll arrive early. (By the way, if you do end up driving, the same advice for time applies...)
Destination signs on the bus will read whatever theme park area they are covering. For example, "Magic Kingdom" would cover Chef Mickey's. "Disney-MGM Studios" would cover Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club.

We originally had our car rental to be picked up at the Dolphin, then switched it to the Car Care Center. There is a free shuttle from any WDW resort to CCC. The cost was the same, since both are Alamo/National.
