I can't seem to find a good web-site for any recommendations on getting blood off of leather shoes. I tried vinegar - anyone have any other ideas? I'll use leather "food" once I get the stains out - but I can't seem to lift the blood stains out.

Is there any leather on the inside of the shoe that you could test different products on? If it's soft leather, a lot of times the leather wraps around a little to the inside. If so, I'd test Oxyclean. I had a nosebleed on the couch one day, and it worked wonderfully.

Did you at least hide the body???? ;)

SonjaH, you are thinking just like me. LOL Hey, how did blood get on the shoes in the first place? My pea brain of a mind is going a mile a minute.
:teeth:

Try fingernail polish remover. It will take permanent black magic marker off of leather. It also removes Superglue from things as well.

Hydrogen Peroxide takes blood out of clothing...it might work on shoes too. I'm not sure what it would do to the leather though.

I agree with Lars...Hydrogen Peroxide is by far the best way to get blood out of clothes... since it doesn't ruin fabric I would think leather would be ok but test it first

I wasn't sure if I'd raise any curiosity with this question. It's been a trying time - but at least the bloody guy is OK now. It's just that phone call that you're kid is in the hospital and not knowing how serious the injury is. Older DS (college student) cut his finger badly enough that he severed his left pinky. (There's still a joint there - just the distal joint is gone.) He's dealing with it OK - he's even had the dressing changed and handled seeing it just fine. (He says taking "golf" as a class might be a problem this next semester!) Good ol' Mom got his jeans washed, the dry cleaner did a pretty good job with his overcoat - but the shoes have been a challenge. I'll try a few of these suggestions.

Try the oxyclean first. H-P will possibly damage the leather. Remember what it does to skin. You might want to talk to your local drycleaner as they have specific spotting agents for removing blood.
