We have a non-park day on our upcoming trip during the busy Christmas to New Year's Week. The plan is to go horseback riding at Fort Wilderness and then tour Wilderness Lodge/Copper Creek, Contemporary, and Grand Floridian.

If we drive to Fort Wilderness for horseback riding, can we then drive to Wilderness Lodge/Copper Creek to have lunch and see the decorations? We also want to look at it for our next trip.

Can we leave our car at Wilderness Lodge and take the boat to MK? We aren't going to MK, but wanted to take the monorail to Contemporary and GF, if possible. Is that possible? Could we then take the boat back to Wilderness Lodge?

We will have dinner reservations at either the Contemporary or GF. Not sure yet.

I'm just not clear on how to organize this and if I'm allowed to do this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You will be able to park at FW for your horseback riding.

You may have trouble parking at WL without a dining reservation. I’d book a reservation for lunch if you want to park there.

I think there is a time limit on how long you can leave your car there. If so you would not have enough time to boat to MK, dinner at GF, etc.

If you have a dining reservation at GF (for example) you would be able to park there for a while. Again I’m not sure on the time limit.

Another option is to park at the TTC after your ride at FW. From there you could take the monorail to MK, boat to WL, monorail to CR and GF, etc. You’d have to pay for parking at the TTC. The TTC is a good hub to get to the places you want to go.

The final option is Lyft/Uber. It will cost $, but so will parking at the TTC.

Are you staying onsite? If so, your best bet is to take Disney transportation to do all of this. Traffic is pretty bad that week and the resorts will only allow you to park if you have reservations at the resorts (with reservations at Ft. W, WL and CR or GF, you will be fine there). The big question is if WL is going to let you park for a prolonged period of time and I think that's a bit of an unknown. They are much, much stricter regarding who can enter and park at resorts during that week. If you are staying onsite, I would simply bus to MK and go to all of the resorts from there and then bus back to your resort when you are done.

Thanks! All great tips. :-)
