How to gain 20 lbs in 11 days!! Oct 23rd-Nov 2nd with pics! COMPLETE 11/22

So my oldest dd is taking German in school so this was part of our "educational field trip". My cousin was on her date night and we had all four kids. We had Alex all ready to say something to the hostess in German and we get to the front of the line and she says nothing :headache: So I tell her she is learning German so she says something to her in German and Alex replies in German "I like cookies!!" :upsidedow So those lessons are paying off!! :thumbsup2

This place was full of...yes you guessed it..."SAUSAGE" but this time we expected it. It was just good German food....nothing outstanding but it was the perfect place to take all the kids...it was loud, they could get up and dance with the band, clink thier glasses together, pound on the table to a drinking song etc. We sat with a very nice older couple from Ohio and chatted with them through dinner. I had a very nice pear/melon wine and dh had the beer flight but be warned the second lightest beer was NASTY!!!:scared1:

Not a lot of picture foods here but both were really really good!!

SciFi we had lunch and the restaurant was soooo quiet...I really expected it to be loud and crazy but I guess everyone watches the old horror movies and it was so silent it was scary!! Most of us had the burgers with the works and they were GREAT! The two older girls had the Chickenbreast sandwich and it was the biggest pc of chicken I've ever seen on a sandwich..they didn't finish it. I also tried the Space Monkey nothing like an icecream shake with some alcohol in it...it was really refreshing and then I didn't feel the need for dessert!! The kids all had shakes and they were really good too...I sampled them all!!!:rotfl:

Here is our car...not sure how dh and I ended up in the front...so this was more like our date night at the drive in!! ;)

Ohana's we have done before and you just can't go wrong here...I don't have food pictures because we were to busy being pigs but here are a few restaurant shots....oh and the dessert was GREAT!!!

We did Mickey's Back Yard BBQ and I have no food pictures here but I do have a few comments on this...The food here was pretty good...the ribs, chicken and corn bread were good but the burgers...you are better off having them at the SciFi as these weren't real burgers to me....I'm not sure I guess the type of meat used??

The characters were mobbed with the kids so we just sat back but my cousin's son was called up to do the rope tricks which was cool. Now we first get there and it takes forever to get a beer because the guy coming out to serve them before you enter the BBQ is only making it 5 feet and everyone is taking the beer so no one in the back is getting any. We each got one at this point. We then have one with dinner. After eating etc we go up to learn the line dancing and we dance quite a while. We get back to the table and decide we are dying of thirst and go for a beer and they are "OUT OF BEER"!! And they aren't getting another keg...they say would you like wine..."Um no...I would like a cold beer and don't want to drink wine on top of beer" So we go thirsty and quench our thirst with a Mickey Icecream bar .I thought this was really poor planning. The BBQ costs quite a bit of money for what you get and then we couldn't even get a drink. We won't do this one again but wanted to give it a try...

Here is a picture of me and my cuz when we had beer and were happy....LOL

And my cousin's father-in-law flew in to join us for the second half of our trip so we treated him extra special....I think he is blushing...maybe it is a good thing we only got to have two beers all night??!! :rotfl2:

I love your reviews and you had me at Pumpkin Martini. I think those are my favorite two flavors and to add them together.... Well, that sounds almost as good as a buttercream frosting martini. :thumbsup2

All I can say about this is "YES"! My oldest (the one that loves the breakfast buffets) just had to go here so we did this as our last breakfast together and it did not dissapoint...the food was FABULOUS, the waiter was GREAT and the character interaction was WONDERFUL!!! So on to the pictures!!!!

Alex-Marie happy again with her full plate

So it wasn't just our experience with the BBQ. Wish we had skipped it but I guess you don't know unless you give it a try. Was still fun just not worth the $$$

Great reviews so far - sorry you were disappointed with 1900 Park Faire. I must admit, we love Crystal Palace for breakfast too though - it's become a family tradition now :)

Looking forward to reading more. Great picture of you and Pluto, by the way :thumbsup2
