We just got back from 11 wonderful days in Disney! The whole Weight Watcher thing was thrown out the window and we ate anything and everything we wanted. :cloud9:

Okay so I really only gained 6 lbs but the way my shorts fit by the end of the vaca it felt more like 20 lbs!! :scared1:

The cast includes:

Christie (me) - who loves disney and disney food...not having to make beds, cook, clean or run the kids here and there and just sit back and enjoy the "world"

Keith (dh) - who can eat whatever he wants and never gain a pound (so unfair!)

Alex-Marie (12) loves to eat as much as I do and loves sweets and breakfast buffets more than anything

Devin Nicole (9) eats much healthier than the rest of us but still enjoys a sweet here and there.

Here's a photo to go with the names for ya~

We stayed at the French Quarter with my cousins family of 4 and her father-in-law. We were in building 5 right on the river on the top floor with no one around us. The resort was completely empty for our whole trip right till the last day and then WHAM :scared1: ...I don't know where all the people came from but we were not so sad about leaving!!

We had a great trip...no lines lots of good food and other than one upset stomach, one chest cold and one case of pink eye (all the adults mind you  ...kids were healthy as could be!) it was a great trip!

Here is a list of where we ate~
Le Cellier
Rose & Crown
SciFi
Kona
Ragland Road (this was our BEST meal...Le Cellier was great but this was #1)
Biergarten
Spoodles
1900 Park Fare
Mickey's Backyard BBQ
Ohana's
Cinderella Royal Table (dinner)
Crystal Palace
And a ton of snacks and drinks along the way.

Some places I have lots of pictures and others I wish I had taken more or any pictures. You will see what I mean as I go along. Hope you all enjoy it...this is my first time doing a review.:scared:

So our first day we were there before the rest of our family and I had scored an early dinner adr for LeCellier and it was GREAT!! Everything everyone ever bragged about this place was true.

Now the only picture I have right now is of our drinks...I think my kids have photos of the desserts but haven't gotten to upload thier photos yet.

I had the Mushroom Filet and the Cheese soup with the pretzel bread and it was wonderful!! Keith had the Prime Rib and the spicy chicken/sausage appetizer (this trip had more sausage in it then I think we have ever eaten in our lives...you will see as we go. I may never eat sausage again! )

Alex had a shimp cocktail as her meal and had some of my filet (she hates mushrooms but ate this right up) and Devin had the kids meal spagetti and a cup of the soup which she loved.

Here our our drinks~
I had the glowtini (and this wouldn't be the last one I'll consume during the trip!) The girls had the princess punch and dh had a beer (surprise).

Desserts we had the chocolate mousse, the smore and maple creme brulee (sp?) all were okay but not as good as the meal itself. Our waiter was great and the atmosphere was wonderful!

The Main Street Bakery was one of our favorite stops...the hot chocolate was outstanding, the French toast loaf was wonderful and the Cinnamon Roll was the size of a cake!!!

Dinner at the Rose & Crown has no photos and it was just okay...they were very busy and service was a little slower than it should have been. The kids had chicken pizza, and we had the Bangers and mash..."sausage" and potatoes. For dessert I had the sticky toffee cake/pudding and I really didn't care for it and just had a few bites. Not a bad meal but not something we would do again...oh and I had another Glowtini....

Ragland Road was a last minute change from Boma because we wanted to go to Downtown and it was the BEST MEAL of our whole trip. I wish I had more pictures but the only one I have is of Devie's Shepards Pie

DSCN0441.jpg

I had the potato leek soup which came with a cheddar pastry bread stick (this was great could have made it my meal) and we all shared the dackey duo which was breaded and fried sausages (again ) with a dipping sauce Alex-Marie woofed these down. I had the Pie in the Sky (chicken and mush in a pastry crust...wonderful) and dh had the Salmon which was the best dish of the whole trip. It was a smoked salmon baked on top of a salmon filet...the taste was GREAT and the fish was perfectly done. Our serves Pedro was really attentive, informative and on his game (I waitress part time so I'm always checking out the wait staff etc).

Dessert was cocoberry for the girls (a HUGE Martini glass with icecream, cookies and fresh berries with chocolate on top) and we split the Bread and butter pudding and it was really good. This place was a great surprise!!!:thumbsup2

Since I don't have many photos in this one here is some Goofy's to keep you entertained!!

Honestly the picture doesn't do it justice and so many people came up to our table and where like "whooow...are you going to eat all that?" And yes we did!!:lmao:
Were you on any of the DDP's or did you pay OOP? Also, are those YOAMD ears I see on one of your girls?
We did it OOP and it worked out better for us! Yes those are YOAMD Ears...we got those our first full day while getting off the raft from Tom Saywers Island and then my oldest was chosen and able to put the sword from the stone our last night and got a certificate from "Neil" of the Dream Team...here are a few pictures. We were so excited!!

O-M-Gosh...every time I see Tonga toast it makes me more and more anxious to go to DW!!!!! YUM!! :woohoo:

Tonga Toast was the BEST...I've heard it's to sweet and filling to eat the whole thing...but I managed to do it!!!:cool2:

We had a "date" night at spoodles while the kids went with my cousin. This was NOT our favorite.

The food was okay but it was very loud and open and our food believe it or not came out of the kitchen way to fast (I work in a restaurant so I tend to be a little more picky about these things).

The mussels came out and we hadn't even finished half of them and dinner hit the table. In the sauce of the mussels dh reaches in with his fork and pulls out...yes...a piece of "sausage" again  We were laughing at the because it seems like we can't get a meal without sausage in it somewhere!!

I had the Pork and dh had the fish. They were both just okay...nothing fantastic. In dh's couscous under the fish he once again dug out...yes more "sausage"

We split a Sangria which was okay also. Our bill was on the table before dh barely started on his cheesecake althought the waiter told us to take our time and enjoy the rest of the dessert and wine we felt rushed and the atmosphere really didn't have a "date" feel to it at all. The total time for our "romantic dinner" was maybe 40 minutes if that....I should have kept our adr for Kona...silly me. Never had been to the Boardwalk and wanted to check it out.

Here are a few pictures of the meals.

Fish over couscous (Telapia I think?) Notice the mussel plate in the front of the picture

Not a restaurant I would do ever again.

Two of my favorite things in once post....

So here is the Pumpkin Martini....just one of many from our trip...I love anything Pumpkin but who would have thought you can make a Martini out of it??? I got this at POFQ, POR and Ohana's...can you tell I like pumpkin!!!:lovestruc

Now on to Grand Marnier Slushys....yes I had more than one of these too...nothing better than a Slushy and Pastries from France at the same time...
DSCN0817.jpg

DSCN0816.jpg

Here we are on to Norway....

School Bread
DSCN0714-1.jpg

Sweet Pretzel with Almonds (half eaten!!..couldn't wait...sorry!
DSCN0716-1.jpg

At Animal Kingdom Tea Stand we had a hot chocolate which was good but the BEST Pumpkin Spice Latte (better than Starbucks...and I'm an addict) problem was on Nov 1st they were gone and replaced with some Carmel Apple Latte (just doesn't sound good) so I was bummed I couldn't get another one!!
DSCN0464.jpg

But then I saw they had a Chia Tea Freeze....not to bad so I settled!
DSCN0787.jpg

And no junk food trip would be complete without one of these babies!!!
DSCN0217.jpg

My oldest dd loves Breakfast Buffets and I'm sure Disney loses money on her...here is a picture of her first plate (not her last!) Would I do this again...probably not. The characters seemed way more into the little kids around us then to my 12 & 9 year old which was cute but I felt like they stopped at the table posed and moved on...not much interaction with us. The food was okay...I found the potatoes cold and everything else was just okay. I did try the Strawberry Soup...it was good but nothing I would crave ever again....all in all thought this wasn't worth the money....Now the Crystal Palace Breakfast was Great...but more on that later....
