How to find a Paris apartment for U.S. college student?

Please advise on how to find housing for a U.S. college student studying in Paris for 6 months. The college is in district 6 of Paris.
The student will be there early January. She just found out the apartment she thought she has committed to will not be available when she gets there.
I’m hoping some of our Dis friends can help suggest a reputable agency or know of a place she can rent in a safe affordable place that’s convenient to go to school. What areas are good options for a small studio? Guidelines for monthly rent cost? I appreciate any info you have. Thank you!!

Does the college had a list of accomodations ?

The college referred her to a rental agency. She said they're not as helpful as she had hoped, especially after she lost the apartment she thought she had rented. Her family is close to ours. We're all so worry about this!!
