Hi there, I was wondering if anyone knows how I can file my 2009 taxes? I had a very bad year last year, and never filed. I only worked half a month is 2009, so I won't get in trouble for not filing, or filing late, but I have no clue how to go about filing?

Can anyone offer up any advice?

TIA!

Just the same way you usually do, whether you file yourself, use an accountant, etc.

You just file them. You can get a 2009 1040EZ , probably on the IRS website. You may need to call them to get last year's forms. Be aware that just because you don't OWE taxes, doesn't mean that you don't have to file. So you may be fined for filing late. But it's better than getting caught not filing at all.

Good to know, thank you!

:grouphug: You can do them on your own computer using tax software for 2009 (turbo tax and tax act will both sell you that year's software) - just download it and print them out and send them in. If there are penalties and adjustments, the IRS (and your state) will notify you. You're not as late as you think.
