Our family is just looking to eat at a quick service in a Disney Resort but is it possible nowadays? I've been reading Disney has been cracking down on having reservations, but this is not possible for quick services!

You can eat at them no problem. Parking a personal vehicle at some without an ADR is the challenge. The monorail loop hotels, particularly Contemporary as well as Epcot hotels like YC/BC/BW are the issue. If you go to a moderate you probably won't face the same challenge. The reason is that people have been abusing parking at those deluxe hotels and then skipping over to the parks for the day and taking away parking from paid guests. So if you take Disney transport, or walk, you shouldn't have an issue.

Some resorts are less restrictive on parking without reservations, especially the more spread-out ones - but safest bet is probably to park at Disney Springs and use Disney transportation to get to the resort you want to eat at.

We have never been turned away from a resort in our hire car, but we visit around 6pm and wouldn't attempt a Monorail resort without an ADR. We love to visit WL and AKL. We've not had an issue parking at the Boardwalk to explore the whole area early evening.

As others have said, you'll have mixed results, depending on the resort. This is a function of their tier (Value, Moderate, Deluxe), proximity to the parks, and somewhat due to their size and size of parking lot. The main reasons are abuse (people parking at a resort to get a more convenient access to a park) and limited space. So, we've had little trouble parking at both Port Orleans, but much more challenge from the MK resorts.

Workarounds:
- Many resorts will let you in if you place your CS order online and show it to the guard at the gate. Con: You have to know what you want and get it right away but if you're going there to eat, this may work for you.
- Use parking for the parks (e.g. TTC) and you can go to the resorts from there. Con: There's an expense unless you are an AP holder
- Park at Disney Springs and take transportation to the resort. Con: That mostly means buses and it'll take time.
- Try multiple resorts and maybe one will let you in. Con: It's a crapshoot and if one turns you away, probably others will too.

You can use Disney transportation from the TTC/Disney springs to travel to any WDW resort to eat. Just be mindful of what time transportation stops running. We almost got stuck at Wilderness Lodge one night because my MIL wasn't brushed up on that.
