How to dress for Early April trip ?

Can you tell I am excited ???

In Orlando it's usually hit or miss with hot weather in April....
Not sure how I should pack ?

Short sleeves, layers, shorts, a pair of pants, light jacket ??? Rain gear ???
Oh Lord ???? Should I bring our ponchos ??? No rain no rain no rain.....


We are early risers how is the early am ?? Late evening ???

Goodness, am I going to be of any use this week at work ?

We used to go often in April. We've had everything from cool, windy and drizzly to very hot and sunny. Most often it was lovely and warm during the day...tee shirts, capris, with a sweatshirt for when it tends to cool off in the evenings. I would just check a weather report before you pack. It's likely the weather in April will be lovely.

As the PP said, weather can be quite variable in April in DLR. Most likely, you'll encounter warm(ish) days with cooler evenings. It may rain, but it is starting to reach the end of the rainy period in DLR (usually winter - although this year, there hasn't been much rain at all in California!). I would bring long pants and shorts, a light jacket or sweatshirt, and clothing to wear in layers. If you want to, you can bring ponchos, but I would be tempted to forgo them and just get them at DLR if it does rain.

Layers. Always unpredictable!

We were there a few days ago. It was cloudy in the morning but partial clouds in the afternoon. The evenings were cool and breezy. This coming weekend will be in the high 80's and maybe 90's.

I was wearing a short sleeved dress, scarf and cardigan and sandals. Later wore a hoodie (no it doesn't match but kept me warm enough into the night.) I took off my scarf and cardigan during the day. The crowds can often make it rather warm.

Layers. As a southern California native I can honestly tell you that you will not be able to predict. Case in point--when I woke up this morning it was 50 degrees at my house and foggy. It's 4PM and 80 degrees now. We have 65 degree weather one day, then 85 the next. It's just how it works. Unless you're in the dead of summer, it's impossible to really know.

I like to wear cropped jeans that can be rolled as it gets warmer. I wear a tank top (or t-shirt) with a lightweight jacket on top. My kids usually wear either jeans and a t-shirt or shorts with a light jacket. My husband almost always wears shorts, a t-shirt, and a light jacket. Most of the time, that will be sufficient this time of year, unless we have a freak winter storm in the middle of April, but that is extremely rare.
