We are going Oct 7 -12 and I was wondering what it was like at night, shorts, or pants and short sleeve shirts?

Your best bet is to get the extended forcast from the Weather Channel's website. Every time I go to the World in November, it's freezing at night.

We have gone during early Oct two years in a row and it is still very warm! We wear shorts, but capris might be okay also!

We went once in early October and never needed jackets or sweatshirts at night. We brought them with us the first two days to the parks and didn't use them so we stopped bringing them. My kids were 2 and 4 years old at the time and they were fine. October is a great time to go. Now that the kids are in school we go in August, too hot!

being from Midwest (MI/OH) my friend and i were still very warm in our shorts and t shirts. I would maybe have a light jacket packed in case you are along water or get a cooler day but I'd say you would be safe in shorts.

Florida weather is so strange and unpredictable...
We have been in late September, mid-October, and early December and it is surprising how cool it can get at night. I would wear shorts, but bring a hoodie or something to tie around your waist just in case. I wouldn't expect it to get really cold, though. :mickeybar

Growing up in Orlando (and still visiting friends and family quite often), I have never found it to be cool in the evenings prior to the very end of Oct. It's still hot and muggy. After Halloween, who knows??? It varies.

we went last year Oct 7-15 and it rained almost every day. It did not really bother us we were still able to do what we wanted.

We wore shorts everyday and evening and were ok. Only one night we went to DTD and it happened to be VERY cold I am not a wuss but I was wearing shorts and was uncomfortable, I am sure if I had a sweatshirt I would have been ok.

I suggest you bring your poncho. I have gone many more times than I have listed below and Oct is the only month that I had rain. OK I dont mean the 15 minute shower I mean rain for over 1 hour. I went for the last few years to MNSSHP and I find now that shorts and shirt are enough. I check the local weather report on TV and have only brought a long sleeve shirt tied around my waist as a precaution. It is usually still in the mid to upper 70's at night. The shirt is for inside restaurants after the rain (I get cold easy).

Have a wonderful trip! :wizard:

pirate: We were there during that time last year. It was 88 degrees and sunny everyday. We worn shorts and tshirts everyday.
