What happend to the Mushu show that was in Off the Page in DCA? I noticed that they changed it to "how to draw mickey," which was also a bit of a fun show. Will they teach you how to draw different characters or will it always be mickey? Just curious. :artist:

The Mushu/Drawn to Animation show was removed and replaced by Animation Academy around the time Turtle Talk with Crush arrived I think.
May '05 I think.

I have heard people mention they were taught how to draw Pooh, Stitch, Mickey and Donald Duck on different occasions. I would guess they might have even more character classes.
Disney does have a very deep vault of possibilties, besides the much harder to draw characters, like people. :)

It seems to be up to the person leading as to what is drawn. I know when we went they weren't that full, so they let anyone stay that wished and they were going to do a different character.

In November we drew Mickey and Goofy. We drew Mickey at WDW in March, so we're hoping to try another character when we're back at CA at the end of the month.

In our experience it is a different character every show, rotating 2-4 characters per shift. I guess it depends who the CM is "licensed" to draw???

We LOVE the attraction. I can't draw at all, but managed a pretty passable Mickey, Pooh and Donald! I impressed myself. Give it a try---it's a good souvenier, if nothing else!

Wow, I would love to learn how to draw some other disney characters. Each time I visited DCA, I only saw the how to draw mickey show. I guess it's just as the above post mentioned....it depends on the CM hosting the show. The host I had seemed a bit confused (maybe she was nervous) and kept forgetting steps. My mickey mouse looked more like a bear! :) Still it was fun. :rotfl:

We drew Goofy. Or should I say tried to draw goofy. You should see the pictures! :rotfl:

I love the draw mickey show.. i did it the first time and the dude who was teaching it, saw mine and he is like "dang u should be a mickey artist" it looked like one of the old-fashion mickey's from like the mickey mouse club.. i felt special *blushes*

They dont just all draw Mickey.. the do donald, goofy and winnie the pooh.. and some one else but i dont remember:rolleyes:

Happy drawing! :artist:
