How to dlownload music to MP3 player?

Hello. I am an MP3 player illiterate.
My DH got one and neither of us knows how to download music.
We do know how to connect the USB cable. I went to Live365, but wasn't sure I could download from there.
Any suggestions for some people who really don't know what they are doing? I believe we should go back to 8 tracks!

it really depends on your MP3 player.

If you have an Ipod, you have to use Itunes. Itunes will look for your music and download it automatically to the Ipod.

If you have other MP3 players, when you plug it to the computer via the usb cable, do you see it appear as another drive letter? It'll show up like E:\Removable Disk or something like that? If so, then you can just copy and paste your mp3s that you have in your computer straight to the player.

You can't download from Live365 because that's an internet radio site. You can purchase music from Itunes, musicmatch, rhapsody, yahoo, etc. There are many places to purchase music from.

If you want to take music from your CDs and put them on the player, you can use Windows Media Player to rip (copy music from CD to computer) then put it on the player. This music will be in WMA format, which your player should play. If it doesn't and will only play MP3s, then the music you rip has to be in MP3 format. You can use dbpoweramp for that.
