How to book HDDR with dining plan?

We will be staying at BCV, renting points, which makes us eligible to buy the dining plan. We haven't yet but plan to.
I tried to book an ADR for HDDR. It wanted me to pay in full at the time of booking. How does that work if we're on the dining plan? Should we buy the dining plan first then book it? I realize it uses 2 TS meals so I'm on the fence whether we should buy the dining plan or deluxe dining plan. This stay is a short pre-cruise stay around Easter so we have no plans to visit crowded parks. This is one time I think we could take it slow and do more TS meals.

You have to have the dining plan on your resort reservation in order to book HDDR using dining credits to guarantee the reservation. Since you haven't added the dining plan you have to pre-pay in full and have the monies refunded after you get the dining plan. Even if you book HDDR with the dining plan you will still have to give your credit card info for the no show penalty.
