How to Address issue with Store Purchase?

We were in Disney for spring break this year.

We did some shopping at Downtown Disney and took advantage of offer to buy a disney backpack for spending over (I think) $100.

Thought the backpack would be perfect for kids for school.

So now that school has started, we gave it a try - and the first day one of the straps nearly tore off the bag. Then the second day the other strap starting tearing off.

Any suggestions on how to address this (or if others have had same issue)? We purchased back in March, so wondering if we are just SOL.

Maybe try calling the Disney Merchandise line? (The number should be on any of your merchandise receipts or Google it) They are usually pretty good about replacing damaged/defective goods. If you bought it back in March they may not be able to do too much for you except maybe offer the tote or whatever they are doing now. I know my DM has been in park when one of those drawstring bags fell apart (bought on a previous trip, only used a few times) took it into the nearest merchandise location and the manager exchanged it for a brand new one, no questions asked.

they are usually really good about it. one of my bags ripped on the inside pocket and they wouldn't help because I didn't have the receipt. But I bought a watch there and when i went back a few months later the battery had died and they replaced it for free.

During one of our trips I bought a travel mug and after being home (I don't remember how long) the seal broke and water started to accumulate in the bottom of the mug (between the two layers).
I took photos and sent an email to the email address on the receipt with the specifics (where I bought it and pitures of the receipt)and they shipped me a new mug.

It was very. They want you to be happy with what you buy.
