I have a hotel room booked at the Polynesian and we have room to add my husbands cousins to the room. They don’t have Disney accounts and don’t plan to go into the parks. Just want to hang out with us at the pool. Planning to call Disney to add them. How will this work exactly? I just give them their names? Do I need to create profiles for them on my account, that seems like a hassle. I know when I added my parents on the phone I had to select their profiles to match up so that’s why im wondering how this will work since I don’t have anything to match up. Do I need to get their address and birthdays before doing this?

I’m not 100% sure they don’t have Disney accounts but if they do it hasn’t been used in years. If they do, do they need to give me that information and we become family and friends before I do all this?

If they won’t have park tickets and won’t be on dining reservations, I don’t think they need Disney accounts. They can just get physical room keys to use to access the pool. (I am not sure if Disney accounts are even needed for dining.)

On our trip this coming Aug, my cousin and her. Kids are joining for the first half of our trip. We have a room only reservation and they’re getting tickets from 3rd party. I had to make profiles for them (needed the kids birthdates). At some point she may want/need to have her own MDE acct and I’ll have IT merge her accts. But I had to have a profile for everyone in the room.

I remember years ago (pre-MB) I had to give the DOB and address when I added someone to my room.

Thanks everyone! The adults did have Disney accounts took some time but we became friends and family on it and I just made profiles for the kids. So all set.

Anyone know since we are staying in the poly tower which doesn’t have a guard, how do they get in with their car they won’t have magic bands. When we stayed their last time we just tapped our bands to get in

They would need RF room keys to access the gate since it is UN-manned. But they will not have them before you / they check-in. The roaming CMs in the Island tower lobby can provide them with RF room keys that will allow them to access the lot.

Their initial visit will involve parking in the main Poly parking lot. Then they can move their vehicle to the Island parking lot. Once they actually tap their RF Room Key aka a KTTW they will be able to use the cards at the self-entry gate. Yes adult should tap to unlock the room to validate their RF ID card or MB.

ETA: add the step of using all the Adults cards / MB at the room door to validate each one
