how to add DDP to a rental? & tickets on room key

We are renting points for out trip on the 12th and want to add the dining plan to our vacation. We have not bought our park tickets either but were told we had to wait till we got there to have them on our room keys.

Can a renter add the DDP and if so how? and is it right that I need to wait and get my tickets at the hotel in order to have them added to my room keys?

Your Renter has to set up the DDP before your trip.

You should be able to get your tickets added no matter where you get them. The only thing that can't be added is an AP.
 
I was worried that may be the case on the DDP :( Do they add it and then can they have us pay when we arrive? Or maybe we would just have to overnight the funds to the member we are renting from.
 
You'll need to contact the owner as soon as possible so that they can notify Member Services. MS is supposed to be notified at least 5 days ahead of time. And MS has limited hours. Let the owner know today. You pay for the DDP when you check in.

I agree.
 
I rented points from someone last week. They made the ressies, put all the names on the ressie, and added the DDP. We don't pay for it until we check in. Depending on what type of ticket you want, you can even get it from AAA in your area. We're still waiting on the hard copy of the reservation, but it has been a very smooth transaction so far. No problems at all... :goofy:

You can NOT pay for the DDP ahead of time it MUST be paid for at check-in, but as stated, the person you rented from must call and add it beforehand.
 
Thanks everyone! I did get a hold of the owner and she will call for me on Monday morning. It should all work out just fine because monday is 6 days prior to arrival :) I am so thankfull that I asked last night!
