I have been monitoring this on the boards for the past few years, and the reports are that the crowds are surprisingly manageable, even though I have not personally been that week, that's what I've seen posted here. It's interesting to me. We like to be home for July 4th.
If you do a google search for crowd calenders you'll see that crowds are worst during the summer holiday weekends, and between Christmas and New Years.
We've never gone during these times, but we had friends who were there between Christmas and New Years and they said it was the worst experience they had in terms of crowds and wait times for rides.
We have visited when the calender indicated lower crowds -and we were able to do all the rides we wanted to do for the day.
The crowd calendars are wrong, Kanata Dad.
I can speak from personal experiences.
I've spent the 4th of July at Disneyland Resort twice.
Just this past holiday, park days 7/3-7/5, it was fantastic, we spent the evening of the 4th in DCA.
2010 - park days 7/3-7/6, awesome!
Many locals are blocked *AP holders* and non locals figure it'll be super crowded
Thank you, this is good to hear. While I know actual July 4th may be heavier than other days, I'm not even sure we will be in a park that day or take that one as our "down" day. We likely will have 5 days worth of tickets, so we will have plenty of time to do it all.
