How tall can you be for beds under tv?

Can a teen (or adult) who is 5'6" fit comfortably on the pull-down beds going in the DVC studios? If so, I'm wondering if this might be more comfortable than the sofabed.

It isn't very wide, even if the length fit, I wouldn't like it.

I'm wondering the same thing for my 12 year old I think it might even be a bit small for him

When we were at the Treehouse Villas my son was 14 and about 174 cm and the bunk bed was too small for him so if it is a similar size to the bunk beds teens are going to struggle.

My 5'4'' adult daughter thought it was more comfortable than the sleep sofa. Though she doesn't complain about the sleep sofa in general.:)

in our experience, it's more comfortable than sharing a sleeper sofa. I'm not sure it's better instead of the sleeper sofa.

I think I remember seeing it was for a maximum 5'6" child.... Or adult for that matter..:confused3

This is a picture of my DS5 laying on the murphy in Aulani. He is a little taller than your average 5yo, but thought it would give perspective. It is narrow, so I think it is probably only good for little ones...

Thanks everyone. Not the answer I really wanted to hear, but helpful info!

I'm 5'8" tall. I pulled the bed out when we were in a VWL studio in Sept. I fit very nicely! Almost decided to sleep on it, but didn't. I like to fall asleep watching TV. That was kind of impossible to do in that bed!

My 12yr old DS is close to 5'9 and he slept on it in July while we were at VWL. He liked it better than the sofa bed. DH even had a nap on it and he is 6'3 - he said it was okay for a nap but he certainly would not sleep on it.

My hefty 5'9" DD slept on the sofa under the TV on our 1 wk trip to Aulani. At first she protested but after crashng out on it during our first afternoon nap, she used it for the rest of the trip instead of the sofa bed.

Thanks everyone! Good to hear some reports of taller people (5'8" or 5'9") liking the bed. I guess we'll just have to give it a try.

I'm 5'7" and DH is 5'8". We each slept on it this summer. It was narrow, but I didn't mind it at all.
