We haven't been to WDW since it opened. Any information on the level of sunniness for the lines and shows would be appreciated. I am photosensitive and want to figure out a plan!

Hey, guess where I will be in . . . 12 days!!! WDW here I come!

cupcake, I don't know how sunny the lines are at Animal Kingdom, but this year I plan to ask about a Guest Assistance Card so that I can wait out of the sun. I haven't needed anything like that before, but since I've had medications change in the past year, I now am extremely sun-sensitive.

Shade is everywhere in the AK, much more so than in the other parks if that is of any comfort. Unfortunately it's also much hotter because of all of the plants.

Let's see.....

For the Safari, most of the line is under a roof with thick vegetation.... not too sunny at all.

The walk through the Pangani Forest Expedition Trail is sunny and shady, but again, lots of vegetation, so lots of shady spots.

The walk through Maharaja jungle trek is pretty sunny if I remember correctly.

The line for Kali River Rapids is pretty sunny

The line for Dinosaur! is inside, so no worries there.

Triceratop spin is definitely in the sun

Primeval Whirl is under a roof, but indirectly bright.

Though there is lush vegetation, the line for It's tough to be a bug inside the tree of life is sunny in spots.

In Camp Minnie Mickey, I didn't notice the line for Festival of the Lion King, but the inside was't too sunny.....

Hope this helps....
