How early can I make a reservation for a cruise? I want to cruise in 2011 and use 2010 points, when can I make the 2011 reservation?

DVC normally charges cruises in the UY in which the cruise occurs unless the UY is unreachable (2 UY ahead). So to use 2010 points those points would either need to be bankable to 2011 or the cruise would have to happen within you're 2010 UY as I understand the set up. Having said that, DVC is very good at making things happen so call and see what options they give you.

We made a reservation for a Nov 2011 cruise about a month ago. We have a June uy. They banked 2010 into 2011 to make the reservation happen. I did not know if they would do this since technically we still in our '09 UY for points. But they made it happen.

They don't make you use the 7/11 month booking rule for cruises....you can actually book a cruise 3 years out (from what I was told when looking into the Alaskan cruise)...so as long as you'll have the points, you can call now for a 2011 cruise.
