Saw in our Sunday paper that the current WDW pkg offer (VR, Tix, etc.) has been extended to 12/19.

Does this mean that AP rates aren't too far behind?

Is there a usual correlation to AP rates following the pkg deals?

yeah, what he said...

What the papers have been showing (1500 special) is an average price that will cover rack rate value/regular season hotel 6 nights with base tickets for 7 days for 2 adults and 1 junior and 1 child. It is not a special of any kind...they just try to make you think it is. It does not include any meals or travel. They are just advertising their regular prices.

So the whole "...be a super hero" to your family advertisement in print & on TV isn't a sale...they had me fooled!:confused3 Only WDW could put a spin on rack rate & make it 'special'.LOL

I did the math out on another thread it is about 1350 to stay in a value hotel in value season for six days with 2 adults and 1 junior and 1 child having 7 day BASE tickets. In regular season it is just under 1500. The advertising I believe says you can go for less than 1500. so they are just advertising. Lots of stores do this you get in the store and think hey this was on sale in the ad then realize that the reg price is what the ad showed. makes you think you are getting some great deal. You can get prices rather quickly on disneyworld.com.

They're featuring the fact that they've 'extended' the pricing into Dec. in our area...power of advertising, I guess.

Still waiting for AP room prices though.

Yeah...that probably means that after December 2006, they will raise the ticket prices again and maybe the room rates and the regular season package may end up going a little over $1500 total....

Of course, they will change the advertising to "Family of 4 can stay for AROUND $1500" instead of "under $1500"....lol

Speed :teleport:

Last year they had the same kind of ads running and said I think under 1400.

The ads refer to two adults, one junior and one child. Where in WDW is there anything priced for a "junior". You're either a child, or a very small adult over 9, right?

A junior is a child between the ages of 10 and 17 (18?). I dont know where else it makes a difference but making the distinction between adult and junior makes sure you arent paying for a 3rd adult in the room, which would make there be an extra fee.

I see.
Thanks! That's been driving me crazy for a year!

Of course...I've always thought that when my DS's turned 10 they'd act like Adults. ...and eat their weight in the dining plan too (not!)

Booked the standard AS Mu & POP for end of June ($95 & $94 w/AAA disc)...call me cheap but, last time I booked same time in '03 I think it was less than $70. Makes me hope the AP's are generous.
