Just out of curiosity how long did it take 7DMT to open after it first appeared on the Disney Web Site? The Frozen ride is now showing up on the Disney Web Site and says it is coming soon. Sure hope that is a good sign it will be open during our May trip even though I am thinking it is a slim chance.

I am going the last week of April and I do hope it opens for this trip it dose say must be 40in to ride did the old ride have a hight requirement

The AP newsletter says Summer, so I would expect it to soft open after Memorial Day.

There is probably no correlation between events. It seems that every time Disney does something new, ie new ride, new restaurant/dining experience, new event, it differs from the previous one.

Disney summer can start earlier in May. Star Wars Weekends were listed as summer, and they used to start mid-May.

I wouldn't worry about the 40in thing. When I saw it earlier it listed lots of heights...I think there probably won't be a restriction, as Maelstrom didn't have one and they are using the same track. It certainly would be a big mistake to have the meet and greet right next to the ride and then have to turn little Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff away.
