How soon did you know you were pregnant?

I was six months pregnant when I found out~~

Missing cycles was not unusual for me, I'd often gone months without. I'd gain some weight but that wasn't unusual, I didn't feel just right but again, not unusual. We had moved out of town and away from my family. The move had been very difficult~~~I hated it! Anyway when I went to the Dr. for a job physical there it was. Boy, I felt so dumb!!! A plus was I only had a 3 month wait--

A couple of days before my period was due I threw up after eating a shrimp appetizer at a party, and I wondered because we were trying. But I guess I knew for sure the day my period was late and I had the WORST heartburn EVER! That has been my surefire symptom both times I have been pg. And of course the ++ hpt helped, lol!

However, on the whole my pg symptoms (before the missed period) were NO different than regular period symptoms -- same cramps, same crabbiness, same bloating.

It has only been 10 days since it could have happened but I think I may be pregnant. For the past few days I've had light cramping and a burning sensation in my abdomen, a mild headache, metalic taste in my mouth, lightheaded, can't seem to get enough sleep, mild lower back pain, food smells funny to me (can't stand the smell of BBQ chips lately), and a few days ago I had pain in my right ovary (mild but noticable), and sore breasts. Of course there are also some female changes that I can't go into on here.
(I would have been ovulating 10 days ago as well.)

How soon did you know you were pregnant?

DH sometimes reads on here so I don't want to reveal myself until I know for sure one way or the other.

As soon as I became suspicious that something might be up, the DIS was the first place I thought of to come for answers.

Breast tenderness is the first sign for me just a few days post conception. It's always on the left side, and always so severe it hurts when the water from the shower hits it.

Home pregnancy tests are very accurate nowadays. Take one!

I didn't think it was at all a possibility as I was very regular and based upon when I should have ovulated it didn't seem likely, but when I was 2 days late (always every 28 days) I tested and sure enough it was positive.

that was me with the first. I ovulated at day 6 of my cycle-so I knew as soon as I knew that I was ovulating!

I forgot to mention that with this pregnancy, I got really, really sick (like a flu-type illness, fever and everything) on the day I should have been ovulating (so 2 days post, uh, baby-making) and my friend (the one mentioned above) told me that's how she felt right before she found out about both of her pregnancies. I laughed it off till I realized my big miscalculation and now that I know I am pregnant I wonder if there's anything to that weird illness I got.

The first 3 I was about a month along but with my last one I was around 10 days. We had been trying for months to get pg and I had been charting so I new when my period should have been and I could also see my temps were higher--which happens when you are pg so I tested right away.
If I had not been charting I would probably found out when I was a month alog and my period didnt show up.

I knew the day after conception. I was throwing up and did so just about every day including the day she was born.
