How similar are Ragland Road and Rose and Crown?

Looking at the menus, they don't seem to be all that different. If you've done both, what are your thoughts? And, do you have any preferences?

Rose and Crown is English food, Raglan Road is Irish. (and yes, very similar in cooking styles) I know rose and crown has excellent fish and chips, which I don't believe Raglan Road serves.

I like Ragland Road better for both quality of food and the service. But from what I've read, we might just have had a bad experience at R&C.

We sat outside at both places, and, while the lake is pretty and people may disagree, I liked sitting outside at RR better, and people watching at DTD - but that's just me. By the way, the Fish and Chips at Yorkshire...were better that at R&C by far. I know, I know, they are supposed to be the same, but the ones at Yorkshire just tasted fresher - every time we went! I think they were better than RR, too, but DH likes RR better (they are actually different).

Just a few thoughts - try them both (if that's an option)and let us know what you think!

When we were there in October of 2009, they had Fish and Chips on both the adults and kids menus. On the kids menu, I believe it was called Atlantic White Fish, maybe?
