I have been reading more into the rides and shows at Us and IOA. Anyone that has done all the shows and rides--please tell me how scary they really are. I have read that some of the rides and shows are too intense for small children--how small are they talking about? My little girl is 6 years old--not too afraid of much (she loves Splash Mountain and the Dinosaur ride at Disney). Is the drop at the Jurassic Park water ride farther than the drop at Splash Mountain? I guess I am just wondering if US and IOA are going to be any fun for my little girl (other than Toon lagoon and Suess Landing--which she doesn't care for the suess books to start with) or if I should just stick to going to Disney where I know she has fun?
Thanks

If she loves Splash mountain and Dinosaur, she should be able to go on pretty much everything that allows her!

Looks like we are going to be there at the same time. How long are you staying?

Here's a link to some info on the "Fear Factor" for kids on our new site: Click Here

I've found that kids vary in their "fears", and it doesn't really concern age, either. I've taken kids from 5 to 13 to USF and gotten many types of responses.

My son is afraid of nothing so I had to stop using him as an example, I assumed if he could handle it, all kids can!

Not necessarily! :earseek:

Yes. That drop is 85ft as opposed to Splash's 50 (or is it 55? ) foot drop. It's fun though. :)

But for me, the drop in Jurassic Park didn't seem as big as Splash Mt. Maybe it's because you're in a much bigger boat on Jurassic Park???

The rides that seemed scary to me (but not to my 2 DS's) were Earthquake and Twister - in both, there's fire and you can feel the heat. In Twister, you can just stand in the back to be further away from the fire. In Earthquake there's not much you can do.

The boat is bigger, the drop is indoors, and the angle of the drop is sharper (around 50 degrees).

My son/daughter were not afraid of anything either. my daughter at 4 , yes 4 years old went on everything that she could while she was there...

That included Jurassic Park, Flyers, MIB, and all that... she didn't like the Makeup show.. and the castle in the que line of Dueling Dragons.
