How scary are the movie clips at Sci-Fi diner?

My grandkids would love eating in the cars but some get scared of certain characters in movies (Cruella Deville, Ursula, etc.) So how "scary" are the clips that are shown while eating?
Nothing the average 5 year-old couldn't handle.

My six year old DD, who admittedly is pretty sensitive, was very scared by the clips.

You know your kids. I don't find them scary but I can see how a child could. Look for videos on youtube and show them first to be sure.

I would also recommend watching the video (or at least skipping through it quickly) HopperFan linked. While I don't think there is anything that would unnerve the average adult, it's harder to say how kids will react. The restaurant is on the dimmer side (think like being outside in a drive-in-theater, or dining at San Angel/Blue Bayou), which can already unnerve some kids and the images are projected on a movie screen (so they're larger than life). There are some close ups of bugs ("giant" ants) and weird Sci Fi creatures, that might scare some.

After 25 years, that scene with the giant hypodermic needle still freaks me out. (And some of the servers really enjoy playing that one up.)

But otherwise, it's great fun.

They are not scary. Not at all. For comparison.....

Not insulting anybody's kids..... my nephew is 10, ridiculously sheltered and commercials for video games like Halo or Call of Duty can give him nightmares. He is only allowed to watch cartoons and Little House on the Prairie for the most part. He is scared of the Hulk in the Avengers, the Jurassic Park movies, the Beast from the commercials of the live action movie, most Disney villains in cartoon form, and the list goes on. He absolutely loves Sci-Fi Dine-In and intentionally eats very slow so he can see every clip before time to leave.
