How scary are the Dementors on FJ?

They look more like this:

YEAH, put that drapey, black cloth in the pic above your post onto a styrofoam ball with eyes and nose like your pic, and you pretty much have it! We got stuck in the dementor room for a good 10 min, and I had alot of time to look at them!!!

The effect of seeing your own face in the mist was working in January.

For me, a person who loves haunted houses, alien encounter (RIP), Dinosaur, Tower of Terror, and anything scary I have to say although they were cheesy somewhat In was and still am terrified! I think it is how close they are to you that does it not how they look. I was scared! I am 25 nothing much scares me but the dementors are an exception it made the trip to IOA worth it. I went to HHN the same day and nothing got me as terrified as the dementors I know it sounds lame but it is true and was so great to know there is something inside of me that still forgets its just a ride and leaves me screaming.

Seriously? I thought the dementors were the best part of the ride (well, except for the queue). They are HUGE and get very close to you, and look exactly as they do in the films. IMO, they're the scariest animatronics on a theme park attraction along with Carnotaurus (Dinosaur's my second favorite ride at Disney, BTW). So yeah, I don't really know how scary they'll be to you. I think they're pretty intimidating, others think they're lame. Go figure.

I never knew the dementers had tails. I knew they flew or floated just above the ground, but assumd they had feet.
