How safe is it to walk back from Citywalk to the doubletree at night?

We are going down for a long weekend Jan 6th and the parks close early. It will be myself and my 21 year old daughter. If we headed over to citywalk afterwards to have dinner and maybe some drinks is it safe to walk back to hotel? We are staying at the Doubletree. Are there cabs always available? If I remember correctly There is no roads in Citiwalk so where would I catch it. Sorry for all the questions just want to have a plan in place. Thanks

I stayed at Four Points by Sheraton last week and my husband and I only walked back and forth to Universal. We felt quite safe, in fact we only saw 3 or 4 other people walking the same route as us. We saw taxis looking for business at the bottom of the escalators coming down in front of the parking lots, at the green domed end of the green roofed people mover that crosses Universal Dr to CityWalk.

Plenty of people are making that walk, and there are plenty of cabs. In the rotunda just off CityWalk, look for the escalator that goes down towards the shuttles. There's a taxi stand right there.

Hi,

I stayed at the Doubletree and walked to Universal studios for 3 nights ( back and forth each day) in October including at night and felt perfectly safe. There were other people heading to/from the theme parks from the hotels
