Welcome wonderful Disney people to my first ever thread on the Dis. My name is Bridget and this is going to act as my diary throughout the rest of my pre-trip planning and later my actual Walt Disney World Trip in March-- I can't wait!

First off I thought I would explain who I am and why I'm here. I am a current Art Education Major at GVSU in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This is my first year at GVSU as I am a transfer student from Adrian College (a small private liberal arts school also located in Michigan). When I was at AC last year I became very depressed for different reasons-- mostly because I missed my family and the environment I was in was toxic (An all girls dorm- enough said). Having been a Disney fan my entire life I started watching Disney movies why I was sad, and that rekindled my love for Disney.

Long Story short I saw an ad for WDW and decided that I needed to plan myself a trip that winter. My family would drive down every year until I was around five years old so I felt that I had waited long enough. Because I was in a desperate need for something good to happen I decided that I would go in December, to experience Disney at Christmastime. A few months later after a lot of tight budgeting and hardly any extra food money my younger brother Robert, Best Friend and myself all flew down to Orlando for three nights staying off site in a downtown Disney hotel, and visiting Epcot, Magic Kingdom, and Universal's Islands of Adventures (for Harry Potter of Course :wizard:).

HOLD UP :offtopic:
I know what you are thinking what does this have to do with planning a trip to WDW?
Well Let me tell you, that trip to Walt Disney World was therapeutic for me, it gave me my life back and gave me confidence to be myself again. So when I returned back to my own personal jail full of snarky girls I was able to stay positive for the most part. More importantly though, I caught the trip planning bug. I instantly started looking for someone to go on another Disney Trip with me.
After a few months of dancing around the subject In early June we decided that we would drive down to Disney during our spring break in March....

And so this journey begins, I hope I can entertain some of you and make some Disney friends

:genie: 32 DAYS!!!!!

Excited to read more about your trip! I completely agree! Disney is therapeutic.
