Wonder how many people love disney after the first time visiting when you were an adult?
I first went to disneyland at age 21 before going to Las Vegas. I kinda love disneyland now and have been about 5 times since. Take my boys when we have the chance and they seem to love our southern Cali vacations as we try to do different things every trip but always seem to include disneyland.
Is it because I wasn't able to go as a child that I like it so much?:confused3

I first went when I was 34 and returned at 37. When it's your sole reason for spending 14 hours on a plane each way, you know you love Disney!

I first went to Disneyland at age 21.

And I am very pleased to say that I am finally returning with my husband and three kids in october this year......at age 37! Travelling All the way from Australia......Can not wait!
I have in the meantime visited Disneyland Paris, but nothing beats the original, and I just can't wait to share the experience with my own children and watch them experience disney magic for the first time! :-)

I was 32. Fell madly in love with the place. Try and go back every couple of years now.

Like Heidi says, you know you love the place when you suffer a 14 hour flight just to visit Disneyland.

Never been to DL, hopefully someday!, but I visited WDW for the first time when I was 23 and became immediately hooked :)

I visited at ages 26 and 29, but didnt fall in love until I took my kids back when I was 39 and 41.
Another one willing to spend 14 hours on a plane just for Disney:)

I first went when I was 5, and I'm obsessed lol. I think I'm obsessed because going now reminds me of all the times I went during my childhood. So it's nostalgic for me :)

10 years ago this week (when I was 38). I'd been "in love" with the idea of going to Disneyland since my early childhood in remote northern Canada where every Sunday night was spent watching the fireworks burst over the castle on Wonderful World of Disney!

We had one day there - walked up to the gates, bought a ticket and had The.Best.Time. Ever! No subsequent trip has ever surpassed the awe of that first one, but we try. DH and I leave on Friday for a quick long weekend in SoCal and plan to go again for a single day as sort of an "anniversary" of that first magical visit! :wizard:

My first time at a Disney park was WDW with my parents and sisters when I was 16, and I absolutely HATED it. Must have been a bad age for a first trip.

Flash forward several years, married with 2 boys who absolutely LOVE all things Cars, and we decided we should take them to Disneyland so they could see Cars Land. I was 28 that first time we went to Disneyland, and now I am 100% hooked, I love it and look forward to planning our next trip the second we get home. For me I think it was a combination of seeing it through my children's eyes, but also I think the layout of Disneyland just fits better for me than WDW.

I was 18 the first time I went to Disneyland (1990) my best friend and I went for graduation. I was in love! Fast forward to 2011 when I could talk my husband into flying and then HE feel in love. We had to skip 2013 but are trying to plan an annual trip now. :woohoo:

1965 when I was 9. We loved The Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday evenings so were ready for a trip. We had one day only and one ticket book. I could not wait to go back. We didn't return until 1970 and they had added new Tomorrowland, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, it's a small wrld, Great moments with Mr. Lincoln and the Primeval World. I was completely obsessed form that point on. Did not get to Walt Disney World until 1996 and love that too.

First trip at age 8. We went every 2-3 years after that. When I was 16, I was planning my own trip. At 18, I took my little sisters who were 8 and 6. I'd try and go once a year. When I had my own kids at 25, we'd go twice a year. My kids LOVE Disneyland. Now I am 54, kids are in their 20s. We go every 6 weeks are so. My daughters start going through withdrawals after 4-6 weeks.

I was 4 the first time I went with my parents. We are from BC, so we drove 24 hours (over 2 days) just to visit Disneyland. We went 4 more times as a family. I love Disney so much my husband and I went for our honeymoon, than again for our first anniversary (again, driving from BC). Than we went again before I got pregnant with my first... It has been 4 years since we have last been. I'm 30, and my kids are 3 and 1 and we are going back this summer, this time flying. I can't think of anywhere else I would rather go at this point in my life other than Disney. :)

My first DL trip was at 2. I have been many times since. My first WDW trip was at age 34. I don't plan on ever going there again.

First trip was age 1. I don't remember it, LOL.

I have been going to DL since 1957 and can't tell you how many trips that entails. My parents used to take us kids back to my grandma's in Huntington Beach after a day in the park, and then they'd go back in and dance :goodvibes

We used to be able to see the Matterhorn long before we got to Disneyland. No matter how many times I go, it's still a thrill for me to catch my first glimpse of a ride (usually ToT these days).

I went into Disneyland overdrive about 5 years ago when I got my first AP! It used to seem like once a year was a lot of DL, but now I go at least 3-4 times/year. I stopped telling people I was going because most people where I live don't get why anyone would want to go to DL that many times.

First trip I was 3. Right after new Fantasyland opened. Went with my parents and grandparents. Have wonderful memories. We went multiple times when I was a kid. Some trips could only afford 1 night in a hotel. We would drive down, stay the night in the hotel, get up and go to the parks all day until closing. Then drive 6 hours back home

I stopped going with I was 13 and didn't go again until grad night. I was hooked again! Have been so many times I cannot count =) It's my happy place and taking my kids now is so much fun! Going in July with my parents and cannot wait to make new memories for my kids!

I was 22 during my first WDW trip and 32 for my first DLR trip.
It was not love at first sight for me. Our first WDW trip we were clueless and very uneducated about Disney. We only visited one park, EPCOT from the advice of of SIL and we thought it was boring. Who tells some one on there first visit to WDW to go EPCOT?!
Anyway we gave it another try two years later seeing all the parks and fell in love with Disney.
Our first trip to Disneyland was with our oldest son when he was one and we enjoyed ourselves. We will be at Disneyland again the September.

I wasn't an adult, but I was 13 and well past the stage of believing the characters and such were real. I feel like I missed out on that experience. :( But I LOVE it all the same, and it is such a joy to take my kids and see them experience that aspect of the magic that I missed. :)

Wow, this is me too, word for word!!
