How Old Were You When You Met Your Spouse or SO

Just curious. My DH and I met at 16, been together every since and married for 20 of those 25 years.

I started to think about it and my siblings have had simular relationships. My in-laws and my own parents got married at 16 but I don't think that was too unusual back then.

I also see my own children moving in that direction and it got me thinking......so what's your story?

Ok, here goes. I met my husband when I was 12. He was 17 and dating my sisters (then) best friend. I, of course thought he was so cute and tried to be around them as much as possible. I was probably the annoying little sister. Over the years we would run into each other here and there. He got married. I was involved in a relationship. My relationship ended around the same time his marriage did. At this time one of my best friends was his cousin, but I did not know they were related. We used to go out all the time and we would run into him. About 9 months later we both admitted we liked each other and started dating. 6 months later I moved in with him (I was 22, he was 27). 7 years later we got married. We will be married 4 years in October (together for 11) and we have a beautiful little girl.

We met in the school band when he was 16 and I was 15. We started dating at 16 and 17, and were married at 21 and 22. We have been married for 35 and 1/2 years.

My parents grew up together so they've literally known each other since they were about 8 yrs old..got married when they were 20 and have been married for 31 years.

I was 24 when I met my husband..he was 35.

My parents were the same - mom was 15 or 14, dad was 17 or 16. Met, married when mom was 20, and were together until dad died in 99 at the age of 52...

I was 20 years old and my DH was 19 years old when we were introduced to each other. I've know who he was since middle school, but we weren't in the same social circle in MS or HS.

Well my boyfriend and I just met in December so I was 18 and he was 24 (We still are...we're May babies lol)

I was 33 and Mandy was 30 when we met, we got married 14 months later. This coming November will be the 10th aniversary of our first date (we call it our "1st Dateaversary"), which we will be celbrating at WDW.

I was 19 when I met dh and 21 when we were married. We are usually the same age as our birthdays differ by 6 months.

I was 31, he was 23. We married a year & a half later & have been happily married for 10 years this coming May.

(It's a good thing I didn't meet him the same year I moved to CA or else I would have been 25 & he would have been IN HIGH SCHOOL!!! )
