I was wondering how consistent WDW is at checking APs of those guests who have booked at AP rate. Personally I have never been asked and have been booking AP discount rooms for the past 2 years (Yes I have had an AP each time). This time I will be checking in with an AP voucher, not an AP. How often have you been asked to show your AP/AP Voucher when checking-in to a discounted AP resort room?

Never.....and I even offered it on 2 different occasions and the CM said each time that she didn't need to see it. :confused3

The only time I was asked to see it was when I wanted to get the discount on a boat rental at the WL and, of course, it was with DFi when he ran inside to go to the bathroom. He let me have the discount anyway after I said, "I swear I have one, I"ll come back and show it to you!!"

We have had AP's for the last 5 years, go about 4-6 times a year, and always book with a discount code for AP, FL or AAA and have never been asked to show this proof of ID...but if they did ask me for it I have it ready to show.....

I usually have mine in my hand with my ID, so even though the CM has not asked to see, the AP is obvious. :) So guess I don't know if s/he would have asked to see it.

Wow, I must be one of the unusual ones. They have always asked to see my "proof". Whether I use the AP or my Florida resident ID. Maybe I am just a suspicious looking individual....pirate:

I wasn't asked for my voucher when I checked in my resort. But I guessed that since I purchased the voucher from disney, it was in the computer, even though I hadn't activated it at that time. It seems like disney knows everything about us anyway! ;)

I was asked to show it at BC last December--when I gave it to the gentleman checking us in he commented that the name on my annual pass didn't exactly match the name on my reservation--I booked thru a TA for that nite so I didn't directly talk to Disney to make the reservation.

When we stayed Pop in March I had made the reservation thru Disney myself and they were able to find me in their system when I booked. When we checked in I asked if they wanted to see my AP and the lady advised they had all the information already--that reservation was in the name exactly as it appeared on my annual pass (I often abbreviate it instead of using my full given name).

Wow...we've had to show ours every single time. And not just one AP, but 2...one for each room, we always get two rooms.

I guess maybe we just don't look trustworthy. :rotfl:
