How often does the train come by?

I thought I remembered reading that the train in DLP only comes by each station once every half an hour. Is that true? If we hop on the train and take it to Peter Pan fist thing will we be way behind a lot of people that walked? (I'm thinking with my group of youngn's and strollers if the train is right there it will be faster than having to drag them past fun looking things [like the castle] to get to Peter Pan

thanks ;)

You would probably be quicker to walk to Peter Pan as the queue for the train is usually quite long

Plus, the train goes clockwise around the park. So, you would have to go through frontierland & adventureland even before getting to fantasyland. Try going through one of the arcades either side of Main Street to cut some crowds out :-)?

also strollers/ buggies have to be folded and thats adds time both ends . I agree go through the arcade x

would it be better to fp it, or just get on even if the wait it 30min?

but is there usually a line for fp too? :flower3:

I've never seen a huge line but I'm not sure what it's like very early in the morning (not an early riser ;)).

If you're planning on getting there as soon as EMH starts, I think you'll be fine to go straight on Peter Pan with a minimal wait.

No emh for me.. :sad1: just trying to work around it. sounds like its not a big problem like it is in DW. that's good to know. hopefully nov 11 & 12 won't be too bad, or too raining! :cheer2:

I've never worried about registering on here before as I find alot of the posters on here use far too many smilies and the posts are too twee for my liking (yes, I know it's a disney board). However that said I've had some good tips from here for which I'm grateful (that's about as twee as i get).

After reading this post I'd thought I'd give you a heads-up AuntyJenn that the 11th Nov is a public holiday in France so it is going to be very busy. I'd imagine the 12th might be too as it is a Friday (between holiday and weekend).
My family and I have booked 8-12 Nov and did not realise about this until after we booked.

So I'd advise to fastpass Peter Pan as it can get very busy on peak days. We plan to do alot of the shows and parades on the 11th.

Oh well, on the plus side the park is open late on both those days.

ps Elaine - no need to welcome me on behalf of yourself, jackie, elaine 2, reid, happy, sleepy, doc, grumpy bashful, sneezy and dopey. Yes I know where the posting rules and guidlines are even tho I'm unlikely to read them.

11 November is Armistice Day and is a national holiday in France. Expect the parks to be very busy!

We'll skip to a shortened version then, just a twee :welcome:

OP - definitely walk. The train doesnt always start running straight away anyhow so may not open til 11 or something.
It will be much quicker to walk anyhow and if the queue is long when you get there get a FP

I only every use the train as an attraction in itself, never to get from one land to another, as its very slow loading, especially at Main St station. The last time we got on the train it took 35 minutes before we even got on it, and I was losing the will to live.

You can walk from the farthest part of Frontierland to the farthest part of Fantasyland in less than 15-20 minutes, at a stroll.

The train is lovely when you're not rushing though :)

on another note... did someone get out of bed on the wrong side this morning? :rotfl: or are we really a vomit inducing bunch?... ;)

:rotfl:I shouldn't laugh at this - but some of us vomit inducing bunch have a sense of humour too :rotfl2:

To be honest, I haven't used the train on my last two trips, so I wouldn't count on it to get you from A-B faster than walking. I think you need to use the train as an attraction as there is plenty to see while you are on there in the "boring bits" as my daughter puts it. This trip though, it's a must to do!

i have never seen the train as a way to get from a to b but rather as an attraction in itself. it certainly wont get you anywhere faster than walking
