I was wondering this too. Spring 2012 will be my second program and i was wondering if it was possible to be put back in my same work location or the two other ones i'd like to experience. I was a lifeguard at yahct and beach and i'd like to either go back there or work at one of the water parks.

This one guy i worked with has done the college program 5 times because hes trying to stay with the company to get an imaginineering professional internship. Hes been at yacht and beach every time. So i know you have some kind of say in where you want to work.

Does anyone know who you talk to? Do you ask your interviewer on the phone?

I think you can ask your interviewer or you can email the recruiters. I think you probably have a better chance since youve worked there before. (but idk. haha) good luck with getting placed there! :)

In my experience - in having done one CP tour myself and in having talked to people who've done multiple:

When you go down the first time, you're pretty much at the mercy of the recruiters and management. You can request a specific location, and sometimes they ARE able to accommodate you, but, hypothetically speaking, if they want you at Mission SPACE, then you're working there no matter how badly you wanted Test Track.

Once you've completed one tour, you have a *bit* more negotiating power, in that if you've worked a location in the past, and if your management team really liked you and puts in a good word with recruiting, then if they *can* they're often willing to put you back in a previous role. They can't always do it, but they'll often at least try.

That's what I have gathered from talking to people who have done CPs or just doing some research online. If you request a specific location, they will try their best to accommodate you, but nothing is written in stone.

In my case I ended up in my requested area (AdLib) and then from there it was a total crapshoot who ended up a skipper butler or pirate. I requested jc and mansion, ended up POTC.

Out of my 6 CPs, I got my requested location 3 times (the first CP I didn't put in a request, but got the location ironicly enough; the second CP I was global, so didn't bother. And the 5th CP I got the park, but didn't get the location).

Who did you request it to?

My DD21 just started her CP. When she was interviewed, they asked her where she would like to work, and she not only told them WHERE she wanted to work, but gave them several reasons WHY she wanted to work - followed, of course, by assuring the interviewer that she'd be pleased to work anywhere. When she went to her training, she found that she had been assigned to the attraction she had asked for - Haunted Mansion. Maybe it was luck of the draw, or maybe she made a good case for herself, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Just have a good rationale for asking - she told the recruiter that she is very tall and pale, with dark hair and striking looks, and has an acting backgroud, plus her major is theatre tech, focusing on lighting design, so HM was a perfect fit to complement her persona and her major. If, for instance, your major is zoology, with a background in public speaking, then making the case for working the Safari in AK would be a good fit.

Good luck! And keep your fingers crossed!

My DD is majoring in Fashion Design and requested Entertainment Costuming, preferably at DHS, and that is what she got, so I think they try to accommodate you if possible - especially if it pertains to your major in college.
