How often do you wash your comforter?

How often do you wash your comforter... not including the sheets... just the comforter or bedspread. Mine is such a huge ordeal to get done so I want to see if I'm "normal" by not doing it so often

I wash the comforter cover (duvet) about once every 2 months.

I can't remember the last time we've done it. Actually, I don't think we've ever washed our current comforter, which we bought a number of years ago. I think it's dry clean only.

I just washed mine 2 weeks ago. It had been maybe 9 months.

The last time I washed it, it ripped in the washing machine, so I was leary to wash it again.

Then I found a laundramat and washed all 4 in 1 day. It's the way to go !!!

About once a month. We have 2 dogs that sleep with us so if they are too messy or shedding I'll do it more often. But, when we bought the new washer I made sure it would hold a king size quilt so it wouldn't be too much of a chore to do.

Did that yesterday! About every 2 weeks, I have a duvet so its a breeze and I was all the blankets and sheets and all of it. There is NOTHING like clean bedding! I really really am big on washing it!

I feel soooo much better... I'm about every 6 months or so. Our comforter is king size and has a bunch of threading going through it. It says dry clean only but I found that I can wash it at the laundromat and it's fine (no way I could fit it in our washer) but it's a pain to do it any more often.

I wash it when I pull it out for the winter and when I put it away in the spring.

I'd like to wash it more, but it was so expensive, and I ripped it our machine. Then...duh...I thought about a laundromat and was hooked !!!!!!!!

It's on my list for next week !!

About every 2 months. By the time it's due for a 2nd wash, I'm usually ready to change it so I'll wash it and put it away.

About every 2 months DH takes it to the laundormat to wash it. I have bedding ADD, though and tend to get a new comforter and quilt quite often.

Washed mine last week. Prior to that it had been two or three months. I have to take it to the laundry mat since we have top load washer. I do bring it home & put it in our dryer.

Wow, I must be a freak LOL.....when wash my sheets every week I take off the mattress pad, sheets, blanket and comforter and wash them all in 2 loads. So it is washed every single week.
