How often do you get phone calls to tell you that your room is ready?

Inspired by Motherfletcher....

In all our visits to the RPR and our one to the PBH, Mike and I have called it "The Great Tease." You know ... you go to check-in, your room is not ready, and they ask if you'd like to leave your cell phone number so that they may call you when it's ready. BUT THEY NEVER CALL!

At least that's our experience. This time is the first time EVER in all of our visits that someone called us to let us know it was ready. Actually, we even got 2 calls ... one giving us a status on the room-readiness, and the second to let us know it was ready and ours.

Same here and it doesnt matter what hotel we stay at. Lately we have been lucking out with the room ready when we check in, but when it isnt they take our cell and never call! Since you got the call, actually 2 calls, maybe its a new trend.

Stayed at the PBH in June, checked in at 7am, room not ready.
They called us at noon and said the room was ready, which it was. So yes, it worked perfectly for us.

Happened at both AKL, and RPR .. but was worse at AKL (ugh) ..
We left our # and went to the parks at Universal, never got a call back but after three calls to the desk (it was around 3pm) we finally got a room ..
AKL, thats another story, was waiting in the lobby til about 5pm and still no rooms ready.
