Buy new bedding? I usually buy new bedding for the winter and spring. How often do you buy new sheets? I usually buy a few new sets a year.

I own my sheets until they are tearing and need to be thrown out. Used to change them out in the winter to flannels but that is a no go since I got older…to hot.

The kids get new sheets when they grow out off dump trucks and princesses . Then It was like our sheets .If a foot went thru time to buy new ones. So years.

Same. I'll keep sheets until they're noticeably starting to wear.

When they start to bite the dust. They discontinued the ones I really really liked, and had used for 20+ years a few years ago, so I'm on the hunt to find new ones that match up; the new ones I just bought are ok, but not quite the same.

I bought two sets of sheets when I got my new bed last year. One set of cotton sheets and one set of flannel sheets. They are both in good shape and see no reason to purchase new ones.

I try to buy nice sheets so generally they last me a LONG time. I got married in the 1980s and I still have a set that were a wedding gift. They don't make them like that anymore, that's for sure. As for duvet covers, bedspreads, etc. maybe every few years--when they need replacing or if I find something I like better.

I buy new bedding when the urge strikes me and I have the extra cash. Right now I've got deep purple ones on the bed along with matching curtains, but they're screaming "Winter" at me so I'll get new ones at the beginning of June-no extra in the kitty this month.

I always buy comforter sets with matching pillow shams, and then I get coordinating sheets and curtains. I like my bedding and drapes to be match-y.

I love jersey sheets so when they get a hole I replace them. They used to make much better quality ones than you can find now like other posters above has said. Currently using the Amazon basic brand and they have held up well.

I have 5 sets of sheets (at home), 3 cotton percale and 2 flannel. I replace them when they wear out. I got all new sheet sets when we bought our new mattress a couple of years ago.

Also have 3 sets (2 cotton, 1 flannel) in our RV.

I buy them when I need new ones because the old ones are ripped. I had to break down and buy a new comforter set last summer when my favorite completely ripped open. RIP to my favorite comforter I’ve ever owned, of course, since it was 7 or 8 years old, it was long since discontinued and I had to get something different.

I have 5 sets of sheets for king beds and 2 for the queen and 1 twin for the small sofa bed.
I replaced when needed or when I see a good sale at Costco

Checking my wife's Christmas lists, it has been 10 years since we bought a set of sheets, and at that time we bought a new bedspread and blanket. We have two sets of summer sheets and two sets of winter flannel sheets that get changed weekly. I can't imagine wearing out a set of sheets in just a few years.
To be honest, we have a twin bed in a rarely used guest bedrooms and the only sheets we have for it are ones I bought when I went away to college in 1975.

I don’t throw them out, first tear into rags, then toss. Of course I now have enough rags to paint 47 houses. But they‘re GOOD rags…….

On rare occasions I might have something that is so sturdy it doesn't wear out before it's ridiculously out of style or I just can't stand it anymore, but generally I don't buy pretty much ANYTHING new until it is needed. I am not a shopper.

I was looking through paperwork the other day and discovered my "new" living room furniture was purchased in 2003. :scared1: I still like it, think it has aged well in terms of style AND function, and have no plans to replace it anytime soon.

We inherited our Living Room coffee table and matching end tables from my parents. They bought them in 1950 when they got married. The marble table the TV is on was left behind in the house they bought in 1950 and has a manufacturing date of 1923.
We inherited our family room coffee table and matching end tables from my MIL. She and my FIL bought them in 1955 when they got married. The sofa and recliner are only 4 years old. They replaced the sofa and recliner that we bought in 1983 and raised two kids on and survived 5 cats. Fabric looked new, but the cushion were crumbling inside.
