How Often Do DL Ticket Prices Increase?

June 2011.

Usually once a year, sometimes twice. It was August the last couple years. One of those years also had a January increase in addition. There has only been one increase in 2011 so far and it came in time to catch the summer crowds. Disney or a newspaper or website often breaks the news before the increase takes effect.

They raised them last June. It wassurprising because it usually happened in August or September.

Many times they have raised them twice a year adding an addition in January to the one at the end of Summer

I'm going in November but have not bought the tickets yet. The DL website has a special offer section that has lower priced park hopper passes but they are only good through October 1, 2011. I'm waiting for them to extend that offer period through November but I'm hoping prices don't increase before then.

October has become a popular time at DLR due to Halloweentime. That rolls into Thanksgiving weekend and - boom - Christmas season. I would not count on the offer extending through November. Disney does not "need" a special pricing promotion to get people to the parks during that time.

Of course, my crystal ball is as good as anyone else's and they could extend one offer or create a new one and surprise me.

Wel, the current offer is June 19 to Oct 1...which is most of the busy summer season.

This one may have been just to take the sting out of the price increases. If I'm not mistaken, the promo prices for this summer were still higher than the regular prices in May (before the price increase).

This is true. The promo prices were more expensive than the pre-increase prices.

In my speculation the next increase will be when the dust settle and everything is shiny and new again. Next June.

Moving the increase to June in 2011, may just have been to not do it before major rehabs began (that are starting now), and so we can expect it to happen in June again.
