How my little solo trip became our Disneymoon!

Ok first off I'll explain how it all happened, don'T worry, i'll make it short (or at least I'll try ^^')

SO basically I went to disneyworld with my sister in october 2009 (it's been too long if you ask me but oh well ) and ever since i wanted to go back there as soon as I could. And it happened! I got my job as a respiratory therapist at the end of my studies with a fairly good wage so i was planning a trip on my own to do everything I wanted. Then she came into my life, well, that's not quite like this... We've knew each other for over 5 years. She's my little sister BF tough older than her ( even older than me ) She even stayed with us for a few months at my parent's house because of incidents in her appartment. And I asked her out on 31th of July in a Rollercoaster (Okay the worst idea in all my life! NEVER do this kids!), and then took the big drop in every meaning it has It went very fast since then since we already know a lot about each other and i asked her to marry me on the 31th december, 5 month after, about the same time in the afternoon And she said YES And since she was a bit angry at us for going at WDW wihout her because she always wanted to go, I asked her if she wanted WDW to be our Honeymoon, I think that if she shouted yes a bit louder our windows woud've broke. And then this little solo trip became a Disneymoon...

SO now I went yesterday at a Montreal Travel agency that specialize in WDW trips (they do bus trips with monitors etc...) And asked them about prices etc... And since i already went there, Asked about many things more like Advanced Check-in, ADR... And YES i will be able to do them because they book their trips directly trough the WDW website

So we're staying at WDW for a 10 days trip in may (23th to 1st june) at Coronado Springs, Water View with the dining plan and the tickets + Water fun and park hopper of course ^_^ I just can'T wait

How to save 300$ by driving 150km???

Okay so i'll explain the title. Since I live in Montreal It was the most logical thing that we took the flight from Montreal to Orlando directly. I waaaas so wronnng!!

FIrst off for the SAME flight, arriving about the same time, it was 550$ per person, so 1100$ for both of us, but the cost was about the same for my last trip so I didn't bothered about it at first, but then my T.A mentionned about taking the plane from the United states, since Montreal is about 60km from the border it isn't too bad. But i was wondering about the cost, would it be that cheaper?Well, we're flying from Burlington in VT, the cost is 700$, FOR BOTH OF US. Even with the parking lot + gas it's cheaper! I Think i'll never take my flights from Montreal ever again! O_O

Now i gotta think of wich park to go wich days and make the ADR..... But one thing for sure, we're both in looooove with asian culture and i'm currently learning japanese, so skipping Teppan Edo is not an option XD

Oh, I almost forgot, we'll be there during the Memorial day Weekend ^^' SO it's going to be packed up, I hope it won't be too bad

How your boss can ruin your hapiness from going to Disney

Okay now i'm a bit angry at my boss right now, for various reasons but the main one is that I TOUGHT that telling her 5 months early that i'm going to get married was way enough and that I could get two weeks off. (WHere I work whenever you get married you can get 1 week off paid, the second one unpaid) Wich is good, but here comes the bad part.I asked her a month before about that policy to be SURE I wouldn't get into trouble by booking my honeymoon and getting a ''Oh we're sorry, we can't give you these day off!'' and she said that yes there was the policy I mentionned before so no problem! Yay! So I planified my wedding on my ''off'' week-end (I work 1 out of 2 week-ends) and the weeks at job starts Sunday and finish Saturday, Annnnnddd, we're getting married a saturday. SO I told her I was getting married the 21th of may so I couldn't be there for two weeks since I already booked my honeymoon trip. Guess what she told me? ''Oh but one of the two weeks MUST have the wedding day in it!''.............. I think right this moment, I would'Ve break into pieces, litterally. WHY didn't they tell me before I booked my Honeymoon! Basically they will be giving me the week before the wedding (wich I don'T care AT ALL I would work until friday if asked to) and the week after, only that. Problem is i'm coming back on 1st of june, wich is half a week PAST these two weeks! SO when i told her i got an angry look from her and she said ''Well, i'm not 100% sure so I'll ask and see if something can be done, but seriously, I don't think so''

This is giving me headaches.... Seriously usually they'Re really nice but i don't know why this time they don't want to do something about it, seriously it's my wedding! ugh....

Hoping that she'll be able to pull something off or else i'll need to figure what to do next =/

And hoping there won't be to much problems like this....

Wow it's been a while since my last post! O_O

Well, what happened since then... CHanged job to another place, where they could give me all the weeks I needed off for my wedding... Finishing touch on the wedding Planning And going into the Planning of our trip now

SO basically I managed to take a look at Touring plans to see that half of our trip is below 6! Yay! And half of it is over 7 with a 9 ^^' Anyway we'll work things up ^^

So here is where we'Re spending our days at!
May 23rd - EPCOT
24th - MAGIC KINGDOM
25th - HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS
26th - EPCOT
27th - ANIMAL KINGDOM / MAGIC KINGDOM
28th - Typhoon Lagoon / MAGIC KINGDOM
29th - MAGIC KINGDOM
30th - HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS
31st - Blizzard Beach / EPCOT
June 1st - Place of our CHoice before Going

Now gotta choose if We'Re going to upgrade on the Deluxe DP or sticking with the regular DDP, must say i received a pin for free Quick service dining wich would be a HUGE discount for the Deluxe one

Have just come across your PTR and firstly congratulations on your upcoming wedding - love the way you asked your DF to marry you!

Hope everything goes ok after all the stress of work not giving you the time off! Am glad you managed to find a new job that was more accommodating.

Am sure you both will have a great time at Coronado Springs. on upgrading to the Deluxe Dining Plan - your ADRs look great! What are your thoughts on booking some more signature restaurants such as California Grill, Citricos or Artist Point? Just an idea. Looking forward to reading more
