thanks all.

just wondering if 4.5 days really needs a rental car. I'll be in magic kingdom, downtown disney , epcot and that's about it!

:)))

why not take ME for free? :confused3

Unless you are staying offsite? If so then you'll want to take a shuttle, not a taxi. Taxis are seriously expensive.

Including tip I paid $20 to get from the Contemporary to Saratoga Springs...just for a price example....

How about from MCO to International drive? I will be joining my husband and he will be out to dinner when I arrive so I will take a taxi to the hotel. I can't at this time remember which one but it is on International drive/not to far from the convention center.

Then the next morning we move to WDW/BC resort. We have a car so that's not a problem to move to WDW.

It was $50 for us not including tip. My husband laughed saying the cab ride cost almost as much as the plane ticket!:rotfl:

WOW, my DH said you know the area so watch where he's/she's going. Don't take a ride and then have to pay way to much. I will be watching them...

is there a name of some shuttle company i can call to pick us up at mco? And, how much is a shuttle to lbv?

I took the Mears shuttle MCO to Hilton Bonnet Creek (down the road from DTD) and back. Pd ahead of time and it was $34 RT.

Current taxi fare in the Orlando area is $2.20 for the first 1/4 mile and then 55¢ for each additional 1/4 mile (or 80 seconds of waiting time). In addition, there is a $0.50 surcharge on all rides (except the surcharge is $1.00 to or from the airport).

I have seen a recent report that this is the 5th highest taxi fare in the country.

Or you could take the Lynx bus. There's a route directly from MCO to several stops along Disney.

There is one stop near the convention center. Seems to be a hub stop, so there's bound to be a second bus along I-drive.

I've actually taken the 111 a couple times just because it was easier to get to Disney, rather than trying to find a ride to the airport. Some of the lynx buses are nice and comfy for the ride. Can't beat the price either for just a couple bucks. Kids ride free with adult.
