I have been reading your trip report! Its great! I had to comment because I thought THE SAME EXACT THING when I saw "Ariel" on the Peter Pan ride????? That is so awesome you got such a clear pic I tried to take a picture of that same exact spot but it can out a little blurry?????? I wonder which came first the Ariel on the Peter Pan ride or Ariel from the movie???? Hmmmm

Speaking of The Little Mermaid I already got tixx to the Broadway show for this upcoming Dec I cant wait!

Again Great Trip Report!!!

I love your Tea Party pictures!!! I'm too much of a chicken to spin fast on that ride. I may have to do it next time, though, so I can get better pics!

The mermaids were always in that scene on Peter Pan (as they were in the original movie). After the Little Mermaid movie came out they just painted the hair of the one mermaid to make her look like ariel. One of those "subtle" tie-ins that show up around the property if you look close enough. We like hunting for the "hidden" mickeys where ever we go on the property.

Hi Punkin , I have been reading your TR. Not all the way through yet, you are so adorable and it is so enjoyable to read all your posts. I love your wonderful and playful attitude. You have helped me relive our trip in November. My dd and I (mom) will be going back in Sept for her B-day.:yay: And as I read more and more I get more and more excited:woohoo: I Love all the pics you have posted.

I am definitely become addicted to DISboards.

By the way, how did you do with you crocs??

Can't wait to keep reading!!:goodvibes

Great installment and I love the pics of the two of you by the castle!!! Such great memories!!! :goodvibes

Great pictures! I almost feel like I am there, well, except for the whole NOT being there thing....

I REALLY love your tink shirt! SO cute!

thanks! i'm glad i could help you pretend to be there at least! the tink shirt came from hot topic, by the way.

Thanks for the update. I love them PhotoPass pics. I can't wait to get my daughter's pic with Tinkerbelle!!

you're welcome! hope you guys are having a blast there as i type this!!! (jealous much??? )

We saw that same Ariel when we were there (I can always tell the difference!) and she was so good to us too. She is my dd's favorite and we were first in line, she had just swam in! She told my dd that Cinderella was her best friend but that we shouldn't tell the other princesses. My dd tells that story all the time! She always says "Shhh it's a secret!"

Disney2006178.jpg

so cute!!!!!!!! :goodvibes that is such a sweet story. those CMs are just so awesome!

Thanks for the technical advice...I will try and find a "fire wire"!

I absolutely  the teacup pictures...what fun! I love the movement...:cool1: Also the photopass ones with Tink...too cute!

Have fun on your trip.
Darlene

i'm not a techie, either, so i'm not sure that's the correct name for it. but i'm sure if you go into best buy or somewhere similar they'll know what you're talking about! about the teacup pictures, i had my camera on whatever setting it is for a closeup portrait so it would focus in on the person right in front of the camera and everything behind would be blurry. they turned out better than i thought they would!

Yay! Another installment. Ariel seems great. And I love your Tink shirt!!

thanks! and that ariel was so awesome!

Thanks for the update...it sounds like you had a blast! :yay: Your pics are great and so are the photopass ones. Have a nice trip to Nashville and I look forward to the next installment.

thanks! my trip to nashville was fun but tiring. i'm still pooped!

I'm super glad you got another installment up before I left!!! Just looking at the teacup pics makes me ill!! :rotfl:

 i think you guys are at epcot today, so no spinning teacups for you today! hope you're having a wonderful honeymoon. you're probably riding soarin as i type this! ;)

yeah, we did fantasyland first too and i couldn't believe how empty it was. crazy, but good!!!

thank you! i can't believe you haven't told your office you're leaving yet. i hope you have a blast on your trip (in case i don't "talk" to you again before you leave. let me know if you do a TR! and thanks for the anniversary wishes! :goodvibes

i know! we had such a great night...it was so magical!

wow....i'd love to see the little mermaid on broadway! how cool! thanks for your compliments. :flower3:

as i told cherokeemama, i put my camera on the setting to take a closeup portrait. that way it focused on the subject closest to it and the rest of the stuff behind that person was blurry. but we did spin pretty fast so that probably helped, too!

I've just read your whole TR, and I can't wait for more! I am getting more and more excited for my trip now. :goodvibes

yay! i'm glad i'm getting you excited for your trip! :yay: thanks for reading!

Waiting patiently....okay impatiently ;) for the next instalment

i'm hopefully gonna get an installment out sometime today. keep your fingers crossed that i have time! work has been crazy lately! :headache:

i didn't know that about them painting the hair.....nifty! we saw several hidden mickeys while we were there, although i didn't hunt them down like some people do with the book they make to find all the hidden mickeys. if i had more time i might have!

thanks for your sweet compliments! when are you going in september? i'm going with a friend just for the weekend of the 21st. about the crocs, LOVED them! i wore them the entire time except for our epcot day (may be why the day went so wrong!) and that's the only day i got a blister. crocs rock!!!

Great installment and I love the pics of the two of you by the castle!!! Such great memories!!! :goodvibes

thanks!!! didn't you just get back from your trip? i need to go find your TR so i can live vicariously through you, too! ;)

You are welcome:) We will be going Sept 7-12, got the free dinning deal.

I am excited you will be going for the weekend, I wish we lived a little closer to FL. and we would probably squeeze in a weekend here and there too. Make sure you wear those crocs though;). You were very unselfish though at Epcot, (with the hubby thing), secret to a happy marriage!!:yay: Sorry, the mama came out in me.

I LOVE:love: MY CROCS TOO!! I bought a pair of aqua ones, and they are so bright!

I LOVE:love: MY CROCS TOO!! I bought a pair of aqua ones, and they are so bright!

OT- I have becoma croc addict! I got Disney Crocs from my boyfriend for my birthday (they are pearl with the pink strap) and recently bought a pair of the athens flip flops (chocolate with light blue footbed)! I told myself I would save them but when I got some blisters playing soccer the other night I tried them for around the house- they havent come off my feet in two days except for sleeping! they are the only thing I would venture to say is more comfortable than barefoot- and I am one of those annoying people that could easily live without shoes.

Loving your trip report! You sure did have a lot of fun in just 4 days, I hope we will be as lucky on our trip! Keep up the great work!:thumbsup2

when i left you i had just swam away from ariel's grotto. our intention was to head towards toon town as it was around 9:45 and i wanted to get there for the little rope drop thing they do. as we exited though i noticed a line near the teacups and.....holy crap......that's alice and the mad hatter!!!! :yay: forget toon town.....i'm going over there! alice in wonderland is my second favorite disney movie ever (behind peter pan) and i just had to meet them. the line was a little longer than i would've wanted, but i didn't care. ray got some video footage of them just being silly.....

(by the way, i don't know why, but my videos are skipping now. wierd! :confused3 )

they were so much fun! i told them it was my unbirthday and they both got really excited and said it was their unbirthday too and then started singing. then when alice saw that i had ariel's autograph her eyes got really big and she said, "you met ariel??? i love her hair. i wish my hair was red. do you think i'd look funny with red hair?" and the mad hatter started in and they just went on and on about different colors of hair......total nonsense......just like the movie!!!

here we are celebrating our unbirthdays together. and no, i'm not trying to grab the mad hatter's bum....it just looks that way!

034-1.jpg

waiting in the line to meet alice and the mad hatter had taken about 15 minutes, so when we got to toon town they had just opened. we saw minnie and goofy standing on the side of the road welcoming everyone in. we headed straight for the hall of fame and got in the line to meet minnie, goofy and pluto. as we did so, we passed all those miserable parents with their little girls in the princess line....our line was about 1/4 the size of theirs! anything for those princeses!!!

while waiting in our line minnie and goofy came through with some special people who i guess they had picked to be the first ones through the line. i got some closeups....

035-1.jpg

036-2.jpg

we waited in the line probably 15 minutes before we finally got to meet minnie. she was cute! nothing exciting, but i enjoyed meeting her.

image50.jpg

next was pluto and boy was he bossy! when he saw our anniversary buttons, he made us give each other a kiss. then he made ray put down the bookbag and he positioned us where he wanted us for the picture. i guess we had to be next to each other because it was our anniversary? anyway, it was really cute! so demanding......this doggie knows what he wants!

image53.jpg

after meeting pluto i turned around to find goofy waiting on me. i opened my arms up and said, "goofy!" and he attacked me with a giant bear hug, nearly knocking me over! what a goofball! (hence the name, i guess! ) i'm still laughing about my bear hug in the picture.....

image58.jpg

after that we decided to check out the mickster's house. i remember this vaguely from my '92 trip, but i don't remember it being so cute!

040-1.jpg

i just love this part.......

042-2.jpg

we made our way to the judge's tent to meet the man himself. i think we waited maybe 10 minutes in line and then it was time to meet MICKEY MOUSE!!!!!!! i was so excited......seriously, i was. he was so nice and sweet. he gave me a kiss when he saw me....

image64.jpg

this is one of my favorite photopass pics of the whole trip!

after meeting mickey we walked around toon town for a bit, then decided to hop the train over to frontierland. it was an uneventful train ride over except that our conductor kept telling someone very sternly to keep their hands and feet inside the train. i couldn't figure out who was making her mad, but she wasn't happy about it!

we got off in frontierland and went immediately to check the wait time for splash mountain. neither of us had ever ridden this before because it wasn't there the last time we went and i had told DH that it was a very popular ride, usually with long wait times. 20 minute wait!!!!!!! :woohoo: we hopped in line and i'm pretty sure we didn't wait more than 10 minutes. what a cute ride!!! we sat in the back row and didn't get that wet. here's my redneck pic, which obviously didn't turn out too well!

047-1.jpg

after splash mountain we headed over to big thunder mountain railroad. i can't remember what the wait time was, but we didn't wait over 10 minutes....again! we were having incredible luck with our wait times! if you're ever at WDW in may, go to MK on a wednesday!!!!

BTMR was what i remembered it to be......fun! not my favorite roller coaster, but fun! here's a picture i snapped of the castle going up one of the inclines....

050-1.jpg

after we got off BTMR, we decided it was time for a little haunting.

051-1.jpg

we headed towards the haunted mansion and there was no wait! crazy....i'm telling you! we really were expecting to wait for everything, but we were pleasantly surprised all day long!

poor dear sweet leota....

053-2.jpg

i love the haunted mansion, but i gotta say it......how cheesy is this ride??? i still love it, though.

we heard our tummies growling at us during the HM, so we decided to get some lunch when we came out. ray wanted a hot dog because my best friend had been to WDW the week before and had raved about the hot dogs at casey's, so back to main street we went.

we both got grand slam hot dogs, fries and one cracker jacks and one brownie and cokes. there was no seating available inside, so i went outside to grab a table. i didn't really want to sit outside because i saw the ducks walking around (and we all know about my bird phobia), but we really didn't have a choice. ray brought the food to the table and then went to get condiments. he came back with a big smile on his face.......they had sauerkraut!!!!! :yay: i LOVE me some sauerkraut and i never eat it because ray hates the way it smells. but he got me some anyway, even though he knew my breath would wreak afterwards.....now that's love! :lmao:

here's our food......those were some yummy hot dogs!!!

055.jpg

we were entertained during lunch by a piano player outside of casey's. he was really, really talented. and he LOVED his job......so enthusiastic!

054-3.jpg

i, however, could not completely enjoy my food nor the entertainment because of the &^!%@)$@! ducks!!!!!!! :scared: i cannot stress this enough to you people: DO NOT FEED THE DUCKS!!!!! they're so aggressive! i finally had to pull up a spare chair and put my feet up in it so i could finish my meal. i'm sure i looked like a complete fool, but it's the only thing i could do! besides, i look like a fool a lot so i'm used to it.

next up.......our encounters with pirates, a genie and....oh no.....another mad mommy!

thanks about the unselfish comment. i'd rather be unselfish and give up the rest of my epcot day than to feel guilty about it later! besides, i couldn't lose either way - we left there to go to MK! :rotfl: have fun in september!

Loving your trip report! You sure did have a lot of fun in just 4 days, I hope we will be as lucky on our trip! Keep up the great work!:thumbsup2

thanks so much! i'm sure you'll have tons of fun on your trip. just remember my new mantra.......go with the flow!

I love your story about Alice and the Mad Hatter! How perfect that they acted just like in the movie.

I share your bird phobia. I get so upset when I see people feeding birds cuz I know that means more birds. Yuck!

Great report on Magic Kingdom so far. I love it when there is no waiting!

Hey Dawn! Great job again! :thumbsup2 I  the Alice and Mad Hatter encounter!!! Great character meetings like that just make a good trip great for me! And I have not met Alice and the Mad Hatter yet, so I'm jealous! But SO glad you met them! :goodvibes
