How much travel time to allow from resort to park and back?

I know it varies but, in general, how much time would you allow for traveling on WDW buses to and from the parks and POR-FQ? We will be taking the buses in the early AM, hoping to reach the parks before opening. We plan to return to POR-FQ after lunch. Then back to the parks around dinner time.

Is 30 minutes about right?

Im thinking 30mins is about right for resort to park
about 60mins from resort to resort since you need to switch at a park

30 minutes is a good estimate... Often times it will take much less, but it's always better to overestimate. buses run about every 15 minutes on average, and the average journey is about 15 minutes.

By the way, don't forget to take into consideration walk time to/from bus stops... that time is often lumped into the "how long I waited for the bus" time, thus inflating it... lol

Good point about the walk to/from the bus. That's probably the biggest variable. Maybe I will plan for 45 min to cover the walk and the bus trip. Then, either I will be early (good thing) or, if I'm running late (likely), then maybe I'll still be on time. Sometimes, I make myself
