How much to upgrade?

We currently have the "free" dining plan( 2 adults- 6 days of plan).
Does anyone know offhand how much more is it to upgrade to the deluxe? Are we talking a few hundred dollars? There are several 2 credit TS restaurants we would like to go to and wondering if it is worth the upgrade or to just pay oop for a few meals.

Thanks for the info!

My Dh and I have free dining in Nov. It is just the two of us and we are staying at a moderate resort (cbr). So we have the regular ddp free. We upgraded to deluxe for $400. If the extra meals you want to add on will cost more than 400 then it's a good idea. If you are upgrading from the qsdp it would be about $600 to upgrade to deluxe.

Definitely worth the $400 to us because we will be on our honeymoon so lots of signatures but didn't want to miss my faves and my Dh is not a big Disney fan. He is coming to make me happy and eat.:goodvibes

For 2012, it's roughly $33 per adult per night.

So, over 5 nights, that's roughly $330 to upgrade 2 adults.

Thanks. We have DP plan not QS plan. We will be there off peak. I'm wondering if the $400 is worth it to upgrade. We wouldn't have to pay oop for any meals/snacks if we upgrade- Just for our drinking (we are drinkers) and for gratuities. It sounds reasonable...gotta do the math!

one key thing to remember when figuring out the additional cost is how much more the gratuities will be with additional table service meals...and the signature meals are particularly high-cost totals, so your gratuities will really add up. Most of our 2 TS meals at places like Flying Fish & Artist's Point had cash totals in the $150 range (for 2 of us) so if you're doing the 20% tip, the tip alone will cost you $30. If you ate that meal at a 1TS place, chances are your total would be closer to $80-100, with tip more like $16-$20. And if you ate at counter service, no additional cost at all. Not saying don't do the Deluxe, we've done it several times and enjoyed it (though it is a lot of food!) Just want to be sure you're really including all the additional cost besides just the actual cost to upgrade. :thumbsup2

Thanks! I am just thinking that with the additional TS credits, we won't have to pay oop for some of the 2TS signatures we have ADRs for. We have 6 Dinners scheduled and 1 breakfast. 3 are 2 credits....We are going to sit down and do the math to be sure.
