A few posts comment that you should double your budget for a cruise. We are going on our first one and I'm not sure what to expect. What costs extra? It's a five night cruise on the Wonder if that makes a difference. The things I know of are:

-spa services
-pictures
-alcohol
-bingo
-the mixed drink classes (are there other classes we can do as well?)
-wifi
-food while we are on land (does anyone go on the boat for lunch?)
-tips

Thanks for any help you can provide! I'm sure there is a lot of items I am missing!

Everyone's budgets are different, you have made a great start there.

Port adventures add up, adult dinning, Palo and Remy, spa treatments, shopping, photos.( You quote these but they're expensive, now mixology yes there are various classes and also some people go back on the ship for lunch, we did in Alaska as we had AM and different PM trips, but say in Europe we are off all day.

Castaway food is included.

Other extras.

Porters embarkation and disembarkation.-Tips.
Kids smoothies.
Cove cafe coffee's. .

I've actually calculated out my anticipated drink/coffee expenditures! Port excursions I put in their own budget category and researched approx costs. Tips I'm prepaying so those will mostly be taken care of. I like to optimize my budgets for trips and then I hold us to that on the trip. I know I want to do a spa treatment, so I'll ask for some gift cards ahead of time. We plan to do Palo and some drink classes and will do the same. Ppl would be somewhat horrified with my level of budgeting but it works for me so I'm not stressed out as I know what we will spend and earmark $ ahead of time...it's just what works for me. We are not, however, shoppers so we don't typically have a large souvenir budget that could vary dramatically by finding the special "something." We also don't indulge the kids in unlimited shopping...they will have gift cards and once it's gone it's gone.

We don't eat on land unless it is included in the excursion or it's something unique to the country/ area we are visiting (i.e we might grab a slice of key lime pie when we stop in key west). We have a big breakfast before we leave, bring some factory sealed snacks, and then have room service when we get back.

Do not forget about casinos on land, if you are so inclined.
Palo/Remy
Parking at the port
Shopping on the ship or in the ports.
We always return to the ship for lunches on port days unless they are included in the excursion.
Classes:
Mixology
Beer
